Joe Girardi stuck to his guns, much to the chagrin of many outside of the Yankees clubhouse.

Alex Rodriguez batted third for the Bronx Bombers again on Wednesday night, though he was replaced in the ninth inning for pinch-hitter Raul Ibanez. While there had been a rising commotion from the rabble-rousers to drop the struggling slugger to somewhere lower in the lineup, A-Rod served as the designated hitter in the three-hole with New York hosting Baltimore in Game 3 of the ALDS.

Girardi's decision to keep Rodriguez in his spot in the lineup did not sit well with Donald Trump, who let the world hear his displeasure in a tweet:

Rodriguez was batting just .111 through the first two games of the team's first-round playoff series, going 1-for-9 with five strikeouts. He was 0-for-3 with two more strikeouts before being replaced in Game 3. If A-Rod doesn't turn things around, then he might need to start worrying about hearing Trump's infamous catch phrase.

  • Donald needs his a** sued off. What evidence does he have for making such a statemnet? This just proves what an a**hole he truely is.
  • What evidence? Well..how many games in the post season has limp-rod played? And his production before tonight's game has been...? And tonight his ?performance? was...?

One for Donald. He wins this round...you lose!
  • Neither can Trump.
  • he needs that little blue pill ??? even with that he needs his bank account to perform
  • Trump is an a**hole but it is a well known fact A-Rod was doing steroids for most of his career until the heavy testing got implemented and once that happened his numbers have gone way down substantially and continue to do so. Most overpaid player in baseball by far
  • TOTALLY AGREE. HE SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO WEAR THE YANKEE UNIFORM AND TAKE A PAY CHECK.
  • Like so many fans, who think that professional athletes can be out of the lineup for 6 weeks & some how perform at the same level they did before being injured, this jerk is not different.

The term, the Major Leagues, means exactly what it implies: It is the very best of what baseball has to offer; and, as such, those who become major leaguers are able to perform at the very highest levels. So when a player is injured and placed on the DL that player is unable to perform. Thus, it takes a while before that player is able to produce the same way they did before being sidelined. After all, as talented as they are, they are still people.

DT is full of himself and a lot of other stuff and hasn't the decency to look at others in the same way he sees himself. Unfortunately, he can't help saying the first thing that comes to his mouth. When will the media get tired of this guy's foolish ways? I guess, if one has a lot of money that person is important....but that doesn't make that person a decent human being; which seems to have escaped DT all together.
  • LOL!!! History shows he is right though...and he was tonight as well.
  • Trumps is such an a--hole, this from a man who couldn't run an airline and bankrupted more than one casino in Atlantic City. Let's not forget the number of failed marriages. He's the ultimate douche.
  • A-Rod should hit a line-drive and knock that THING off his head! Why can't people with money shut-up!! That's right..it's free speech! Hey Donky-head! You don't have to consult one of your crooked financial advisors on this one!!
  • Trump is the explanation for why there are more horses' asses in this world than there are horses.
  • trump, should stick to what he knows best, marrying younger women who he thinks marry him for his charm and hair
  • LMAO
  • Trump says he would get out there and play ball himself, but the hats and helmets would mess up that combover that takes him a solid hour and a half to torture into looking like a rug.
  • Why would you post what Trump says? You can of to most street corners and find people yelling incoherent things, as Trump does , but you people pay attention. How dumb are You?
  • I have little use for Trump generally. But in this case...he's pretty spot on. I have even less use for Limp-Rod...egotistical *******.
  • i like to know how trump knows he was off his drugs,a slump is a slump, drugs or no drugs, whose his inside source,i'd like to know.
  • slumps?...drugs?...Trump says?...I know something very basic!

if you don't produce...there is no excuse...sit and watch.
  • Who the f*** does Donald Trump think he is? who died and told him he's the know all? he obviously doesn't know a thing about professional sports and injuries. I get that he's rich, but that doesn't make him god, when your in a slump your in a slump. He should just shut his mouth and get a haircut.
  • Trump is confused. It thinks being famous makes him important. If you ordered a truck load of jackasses and got Trump your order would be complete. He needs to keep his mouth shut about A-Rod and baseball until and unless he can hit high inside fast balls and low outside curves.
  • Why does anyone care what this clown thinks about baseball or politics?
  • Trump knows what he is talking about....A-Rod stopped doping after the more stringent testing proceduers were inforced. When your body becomes dependent on steroids and you stop your performance will go to hell in a hand basket. That's exactly what has happened to A-Rod
  • I love how DT is the absolute expert on everything and everyone. I'm sure the Donald can't perform without drugs!
  • Who the hell is donald trump? I once heard his name mentioned along with some kind of nasty disease called dumb ass disease, once you get it there's no cure..

Switch pitcher could see action in MLB

29-year-old New York Yankees minor leaguer Pat Venditte normally wouldn’t be a player worth noticing. He’s been in the minors for the past seven seasons after the Yankees selected him in the 45th round of the 2007 amateur draft.  On the surface, Venditte is nothing more than your non-prospect who has bounced around in small towns in an attempt to make it to the Majors. That’s...

The Toronto Blue Jays were hoping to be a legitimate playoff contender this season, and they looked the part for the first half of the year before falling apart after the All-Star break. Japanese H.S. game goes 50 innings before winner decided

Hard to believe, but Mark Townsend of Yahoo Big League Stew reports that a high school “Rubber Baseball” game in Japan went a full 50 innings, or 5.6 full length games before being decided 3-0 (no scoring the first 49 innings).  The winner was Chukyo High School over Sotoku in the tournament semifinal game. Some of the stats are almost too much to be true.  According to Townsend...

Oakland Raiders fielding oldest roster in NFL

The Raiders spent the offseason loading up on a slew of veteran talent, a calculated effort to inflate their win total. To nobody's surprise, it's subsequently inflated the team's collective age. Jimmy Kempski of Philly.com, doing some calculations following Saturday's final roster cutdowns, deduced that Oakland has the oldest roster in the NFL. The average age...

Report: Sam clears waivers, can join an NFL practice squad

ST. LOUIS — Michael Sam was probably never an ideal fit with the St. Louis Rams and it had absolutely nothing to do with his sexual orientation. They’re just too well-stocked at defensive end, Sam’s position. Sam showed up for his face-to-face exit meeting with coach Jeff Fisher Sunday, a few hours after clearing waivers. He shook hands with two reporters and accepted well...
