Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt was showered with bubble gum and water by teammates after hitting the walk-off HR in the 11th inning to win Tuesday night's game.
After getting doused with the Dubble Bubble gum by his teammates, Goldschmidt wore the Dubble Bubble containers as a hat during the remainder of his postgame interview.
Not only did Goldschmidt hit the game-winning HR, but he also hit the game-tying HR in the bottom of the ninth for the D-backs. The earlier HR happened to be Goldschmidt's fifth ninth-inning HR this season, the most in the majors.

Most of the Arizona Diamondbacks were happy when Paul Goldschmidt hit a walk-off home run in the 11th inning Tuesday night, the second straight day the D-Backs walked off against the visiting Orioles.
But Arizona pitcher Brandon McCarthy had something else on his mind.
McCarthy, whose locker is next to Goldschmidt’s, was already looking ahead to the now-complicated process of getting...

The race for National League MVP is wide open and Arizona Diamondbacks’ first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is putting together a pretty good case to win it.
Goldschmidt isn’t playing for a ‘winner’–the Diamondbacks sit just two games over .500 in the NL West and are six games out of the final Wild Card spot. Considering the way the writers vote, it could make...
Nothing like the classic Dubble Bubble shower to celebrate a walk-off. Arizona Diamondbacks’ Paul Goldschmidt, who is having an MVP-like year, won the game Tuesday versus the Orioles after tying the game in the ninth with a home-run, then hitting the walk-off in the eleventh. To celebrate, his teammates dosed him twice with bubble gum, and then some water. Celebrate the good times...
PHOENIX The reasoning sounded pretty plausible.
"Well, I think every team want their guys to always keep playing hard," said Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt -- responding to a question about his team's considerable pluck -- roughly six hours before giving Arizona its second walk-off home run in the first two nights of a series against the Orioles.
PHOENIX From walk-off hero to seat on the bench in less than 48 hours, Diamondbacks rookie center fielder Adam Eaton can now fully relate to the fickle nature of baseball fortune.
Eaton's comeuppance was tucked inside Tuesday nights 11-inning walk-off victory over the Orioles, the second in a row for the never-say-die Diamondbacks.
Eaton, was the hero in the first of the two...
=The Diamondbacks are adding even more speed to their outfield as Tony Campana was recalled from Triple-A on Wednesday. In a corresponding move, Arizona optioned Tyler Skaggs back to Reno.
For the first time since June 30th, Trevor Cahill will be in the Diamondbacks starting rotation. Cahill, who has been sidelined with issues to both his hip and his shoulder, will join the club this weekend in Pittsburgh, according to Tyler Emerick of MLB.com.
While not shocking by any stretch, the Arizona Diamondbacks placed Cody Ross on the 15-day DL yesterday afternoon. The move came a day after he suffered a dislocated right hip while running to first base. The hip appeared to just jam and slip out. Most expected his season to be over at that point. That was confirmed yesterday as Ross had surgery scheduled for today.

PHOENIX -- The Diamondbacks were unable to close what now seems like a voluminous gap between themselves and the Dodgers on Monday night.
But while staying within 7 12 games of the leaders in the National League West, the D-backs did manage to embrace the peculiar ... along with the familiar.
A Monday night date with the Orioles came to an abrupt end when Adam Eaton spanked the...
Adam Eaton's blackout turned into a walkoff.
Despite being unsure of what pitch he hit or what to do as he rounded the bases, Eaton ended a wild game of momentum swings with the first walk-off homer hit into Chase Field's right field pool on Monday night, lifting the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 7-6 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

It was early on Monday afternoon and Diamondbacks outfielder Adam Eaton paused choosing his words carefully. Asked to reflect on what has been a difficult season Eaton was trying to stay positive but for a moment was struggling to find the words.
“Hopefully” he said “this is an afterthought after we go the playoffs and the World Series. Hopefully — the injuries the tough...
Aaron Hill had a game-ending single with one out in the 14th inning to give the Arizona Diamondbacks a 5-4 victory over Baltimore on Wednesday and a three-game sweep of the Orioles.
All three victories came in walk-off fashion. Baltimore led all three games entering the seventh.

Less than 24 hours after Paul Goldschmidt tied up the game and then won it later on, Aaron Hill did the same thing in the Diamondbacks 5-4 victory over this afternoon from Chase Field.
