The Philadelphia Phillies have signed infielder Mike Fontenot to a minor league deal, Jim Bowden of ESPN and MLB Network Radio reports. Just before the start of the season, the Giants released Fontenot. Fontenot posted a .227 avg, .304 OBP and.377 SLG in 252 plate while logging time at second base, shortstop and third base last season.
