Here's a running list of pitchers notes around the Major Leagues: – The Arizona Diamondbacks have decided to promote their top pitching prospect Trevor Bauer and he'll be making his Major League debut on Thursday according to Jack Magruder of FOXSports. Bauer is 11-1 with a 2.23 ERA in 16 Triple-A this season and according to Magruder he is leading the minors with 116 strikeouts. – Right handed pitcher Anthony Bass has been experiencing shoulder soreness and according to Bill Center of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego Padres decided yesterday to place him in the 15-day Disabled List. – The San Diego Padres promoted right handed pitcher Kip Wells to their Major League team to take Bass' spot in the rotation. The 35-year old veteran last pitched in the Majors in 2009 with the Reds. He was 1-4 with a 4.97 ERA, 0.9 HR/9, 4.7 BB/9 and 3.8 SO/9 in 38.0 innings with the Padres' Triple-A team this season. – Right hander Jerome Williams was hospitalized last week after experienced shortness of breath and passing out in the Angels' clubhouse. On Saturday he threw a full-effort bullpen session and according to Mark Saxon of ESPNLosAngeles he didn't experienced trouble breathing since the incident. Manager Mike Scioscia said that Williams “will pitch a simulated game next week in Baltimore and the team will wait for further direction from doctors and trainers before activating him.” Image by squeaks2569 under the Creative Commons License.
