We've all seen them. You know, those horrifying before-and-after pictures of meth addicts who've been decayed by years of hard drug abuse.

Robert Andino’s face perfectly sums up what it’s like playing for the Orioles

I’m guessing next year’s picture will feature Andino in the fetal position, sobbing uncontrollably. If you thought being a fan of the Orioles was a tough gig, just look what happens when you actually play for them.  Notice how the joy gets sucked out of O’s second baseman Robert Andino’s face with each passing year?  It’s like one of those “before and after” shots...

Dylan Bundy: Too Good For A-Ball

Last week, I missed out on Dylan Bundy’s pro debut, as I just couldn’t make the two hour drive to Asheville work with my schedule. But, tonight, Bundy was even closer, pitching just over an hour away in Kannapolis, and I wasn’t going to miss him twice in a span of six days. So, I jumped down I-85 and took in a game with the other 100 or so people who decided to brave the...

The Dugout Opening Days ’12: Baltimore Orioles

He’s not technically a Baltimore Oriole anymore, but when the O’s disassociate themselves from you you’re an Oriole until proven otherwise. From an AP report: SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic (AP) Former major leaguer Vladimir Guerrero said he has surrendered to police after authorities contend he attacked a police officer in a disco. Guerrero denied being part of an attack...

Orioles first base coach Wayne Kirby plays with bubble gum containers during rain delay (Video)

Baltimore Orioles first base coach Wayne Kirby was caught on camera playing with bubble gum containers in the dugout during a rain delay before Wednesday night's game at Camden Yards against the New York Yankees. Your browser does not support iframes. Kirby took two containers of Dubble Bubble gum, which still had gum in them, and held them up to his ears like an elephant...

This is Robert Andino. This is Robert Andino on the Orioles

There is nothing but negativity that surrounds the Baltimore Orioles organization. This is an organization that has seen only 7 winning seasons since winning the 1983 World Series, and not one since the 1997 season. This screen cap that was posted over at Jockular, captures the essence of what it is like to be involved [...]

Wei-Yin Chen's First Start For The O's

I didn't get a chance to see Wei-Yin Chen make his Major League debut yesterday - I got home for the bottom of the 9th, so at least I was treated to the extra-innings loss - but I've heard some complementary things about it. Chen's line on the night: 5.2 IP, 7 H, 4 R (2 ER - thanks Mark Reynolds), 1 BB, 6 K, 1 HR (to Derek Jeter, leading off the game). The strike-out...

Baltimore Orioles fan pays big price for brief fame

It took a while, but the cops finally dropped the hammer on him.

Chen Has Decent Debut; Orioles Lose Close One Late Against the Yankees...

Last night, the Baltimore Orioles played their longest game of the season – 12 innings – and lost to the New York Yankees, 5-4. The Orioles have lost two in a row. They blew opportunity after opportunity on Tuesday and the Yankees won the game in the top of the eleventh as pinch-hitter Raul Ibanez drilled a ground-rule double to right off reliever Pedro Strop – who took...

Game 6: Orioles 4, Yankees 6

The O's lost game one of this series handily, game two in - not quite heart-breaking - but hard to take fashion, and have to deal with CC Sabathia in game three. The Good: Things did not get off to a particularly auspicious start for Jake Arrieta, as he gave up a two-run homer to the second batter of the game. He settled down after that though, and looked mighty impressive...

The Jays Are on the Docket

This weekend, the Orioles start a long, ten-game road trip, and their first stop is in Toronto, Canada, as they face the Blue Jays. It's a three-game set up north, and with the Orioles now 3-3, plus mired in a three-game skid, they hope to get things back in order. The Jays are 4-2 and are atop the American League East along with the Tampa Bay Rays. A small group of experts...

The Baltimore Orioles have decided to add more pitching depth by signing right handed pitcher Joel Pineiro to a Minor League deal according to Rich Dubroff of NBCSports.
