The Mets will look to complete a three game sweep of the Atlanta Braves and start a season 3-0 for the first time since 2007 on Sunday afternoon. The Mets pitching has been fantastic thus far on the young season as they have given up only 2 ER over their first 18 IP in 2012, including 7 shout out innings from their revamped bullpen. David Wright will look to continue his hot start this afternoon as he is 5-8, with a HR and 2 RBI so far in 2012.
On the mound for the Braves will be LHP Mike Minor. After breaking camp with the Braves in 2011, Minor was quickly sent back to Triple-A in order to make room on the 25 man roster for Jair Jurrjens who began the year on the DL. Minor was re-called in early August and pitched well going 4-1, with a 3.83 ERA in 9 starts. In his career against the Mets, Minor is 2-0, with a 6.75 ERA.
Taking the hill for the Mets will be LHP Jon Niese. Niese will make his first start of 2012 2 days after signing a 5 year contact extension with New York. Niese was solid through the first 4 months of his 2011 campaign; however, he hit a wall in August and struggled to the finish line. In his career against Atlanta Niese is 3-2, with a 3.55 ERA over 45.2 IP.
Game time is scheduled for 1:10 PM from Citi Field. Here are the starting lineups:

1. Michael Bourn CF 2. Martin Prado 3B 3. Brian McCann C 4. Dan Uggla 2B 5. Freddie Freeman 1B 6. Matt Diaz LF 7. Jason Heyward RF 8. Jack Wilson SS 9. Mike Minor P
