He didn’t throw a ton of strikes, with 56 in 93 pitches. On the season, Oliver has a 2.11 ERA in 21.1 innings, with a 29:12 K/BB ratio. The control is still a problem, but he’s been pretty dominant, and has only given up 12 hits on the season. Duke Welker’s walks tonight were the first three of the season. He has a 12:3 K/BB ratio in 10 innings. Alen Hanson recorded two errors, putting two runners on base. Both runners eventually came around to score, tying the game. Elias Diaz led off the bottom of the ninth with a single, then moved to second on a wild pickoff attempt. Hanson came up with a chance to redeem himself, and connected with a walk off triple, scoring Diaz to take the win. Adrian Sampson threw about 50 pitches in his first two innings, then settled down and got in a groove in his final three. They only recorded two hits, with Bell getting one and Max Moroff getting the other. Hagerstown scored eight unearned runs thanks to four errors. Two came from Stetson Allie (both throwing), while one came from Dilson Herrera and one from Max Moroff.
