Alex Rodriguez seems to be doing everything he can to get on the Yankees’ bad side. First, his tweet announcing he was cleared to play again angered general manager Brian Cashman, next, the third baseman went AWOL before a scheduled rehab game. A-Rod was interviewed Friday by Major League Baseball about his involvement with Biogenesis, a Miami anti-aging clinic at the center of a performance-enhancing drug scandal. After that meeting, Rodriguez was slated to start in his seventh rehab game with the Single-A Tampa Yankees but he never showed up at George M. Steinbrenner Field, according to a report from the New York Post. Organization officials struggled to get a hold of A-Rod after his meeting in Tampa with MLB, and Rodriguez eventually informed the team that he wasn’t going to be playing Friday night, which, apparently, didn’t go over very well. The game ended up being postponed because of rain anyway, but sources told the New York Post that Rodriguez had enough time to get from th...

  • It's obvious that ARods days in the game are numbered. I have always given him the benefit of the doubt since the Roid positive in Texas. He said he made a mistake and was sorry for it. But if he has continued to use them, then he's a phony liar and joins the others in that category...Palmiero, McGwire, Sosa, Clemens and of course the biggest phony of them all bonds. The real shame of it all is how he joined with an organization and loaned his voice to telling kids to stay away from Roids. I hope that the Biogenesis clams turn out to be false, but I just don't know. If the claims are true I hope there is a way that the Yankees can void the remainder of his contract. If they are false than he needs to be left alone and allowed to complete his career.
