Tim Tebow is still dangling out there on the free-agent market, but don’t expect the Patriots nibble at the bait anytime soon. Tebow has been rumored with the Patriots a few times over the years, especially since Josh McDaniels, who spent a first-round pick on Tebow with the Denver Broncos, returned to the team as offensive coordinator. But Bill Belichick apparently doesn’t plan on signing Tebow and even “hates” him as a player, a source told Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports. Tebow is a gimmicky player, which would make it difficult to find playing time for him similar to his situation with the Jets in 2012. A position change is one possibility, but that transition could take time to  and the Patriots would likely have to sacrifice a few snaps for Tom Brady in order to accommodate the former Broncos and Jets quarterback, but it appears the Patriots have no interest in that scenario either. “No chance. Plus they wouldn’t like the circus that comes with it,” the article says of the Patriots’ feelings on Tebow. The circus comment is likely in reference to the continuous headlines and non-stop coverage the Jets saw once Tebow arrived last year. Belichick and the Patriots try to keep out of the spotlight as much as possible, and Tebow would counter that initiative. Belichick isn’t normally one to tip his hand about a player one way or the other, so there may still be some interest in Tebow at a position other than quarterback. But it is hard to believe that Belichick would “hate” a guy as hard working, dedicated, intelligent and passionate as Tebow, considering those are all qualities Belichick respects and looks for in players. Then again, Tebow is as polarizing a player as the NFL has seen, and maybe Belichick just isn’t among the many he’s enchanted. Have a question for Luke Hughes? • Look who is calling the kettle black. How people forget about how ol Belichick was caught cheating some time ago. Sit down now folks and recall he was taping plays and seeing how other teams were playing etc. don't really know the details but he was caught and fined a lot per sports news. So, down with Belichick and up with Tim the main man.
