Astros’ ace Bud Norris was scratched from his start Tuesday amid trade rumors, and a late addition to such rumors are the Diamondbacks. The MLB.com beat writer for the Astros, Brian McTaggart, says a source has told him three teams are showing a lot of interest in the 28-year-old, the Diamondbacks, Orioles, and Pirates.
Bud Norris has been scratched from his start by the Astros tonight, and Jeff Passan just relayed this on Twitter:
Sources: Bud Norris very likely to be dealt today, and Pittsburgh could be landing spot. Package built around Tyler Glasnow makes sense.

BALTIMORE — The Baltimore Orioles have acquired right-hander Bud Norris from the Houston Astros to help bolster a rotation that will be without injured Jason Hammel for what could be an extended period.
The Orioles are sending outfielder L.J. Hoes and left-handed prospect Josh Hader to the Astros in a deal agreed to moments before Wednesday’s non-waiver trade deadline.
Houston Astros pitcher Bud Norris has been scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles.
The team declined to immediately provide a reason for the move, but the right-hander has been the topic of trade speculation. A team official said Norris had not been dealt yet.
The non-waiver trade deadline is Wednesday at 4 p.m.

So, the trade deadline turned out to be kind of a bust. Anytime when the highlight of deadline day is all the puns that came from the Orioles trading L.J. Hoes is a pretty good sign that nothing exciting happened. Fortunately for those of us who love our trade porn, the August waiver period should be much more active as all the pretenders in the division and Wild Card races should...
In the playoff mix for a second straight year, the Baltimore Orioles made the biggest move on a quiet trade deadline day, acquiring pitcher Bud Norris to keep pace with the Boston Red Sox.
Hoping to catch the NL West-leading Dodgers, the Arizona Diamondbacks filled a hole in their bullpen Wednesday by sending struggling 20-game winner Ian Kennedy to San Diego for lefty reliever...
The Pirates don’t seem to be aggressively pursuing Bud Norris.
A few rumors on the Bud Norris front just came out. Jayson Stark says the Astros seem to be collecting final offers and that the price is still high.
#Astros seem to be collecting final offers on Bud Norris. Price still high. #Orioles still interested. One dark horse could be #SFGiants

There were lots of firsts for Bud Norris on Thursday night. First time pitching against his old team first start in Baltimore and most important his first win.
After it was over he had to fend off his first shaving cream pie.
Not even after he got his first major league win was he so honored but then he’s never played with Adam Jones. Jones and Alexi Casilla ran over to him while...

Chris Davis belted his 39th home run of the season in the game, coming against left hander Travis Blackley.
The win keeps the Orioles 5.5 games behind...
The Orioles have already traded for two pitchers this month but they believe they may need more to keep up with the Rays and Red Sox in the AL East.
Orioles people have been asking around about starting pitchers with Jason Vargas of the Angels one interesting possibility. Vargas has been on the disabled list since June because of a blood clot in his left armpit but the reports on...

The non-waiver trade deadline passed at 4 p.m. ET with a handful of moves at the end a number of teams that held tight for no good reason and an epic trade of Bud for Hoes and a Hader. Thanks to that deal all of us were winners.
In the spirit of objective analysis however we present as a complement 10 more winners and 10 losers in no particular order from the deals that were done...
As if yesterday wasn't crazy enough, today we move right into the trade deadline. Here's where things currently stand:
Early in the day yesterday, we heard the Pirates were very interested in Bud Norris and "close" to a deal on Alex Rios. By the time the second game started, there were reports out that the Pirates' interest had cooled on both fronts. Jeff...
