Midwest Sports Fans:
MLB’s Full Count on Yahoo Sports is just the thing to get the sports fan back into baseball!
All night long, beginning at 7 p.m. ET, Full Count is streamed live for free on Yahoo Sports, recounting completed games with recaps and cutting to other games at key situations as they progress. There is also an app for both the iPhone and the iPad if you wish to stay up to date on your mobile device.
Highlights, stats and live look-ins are the bread n’ butter. They mix it up.
Some live look-ins are safe bets, like an Albert Pujols at-bat until he hits a homerun or the ninth inning of a Yankees game.
Regardless of whether it is live, the studio announcers make a smooth transition between games. It’s all one big tease for sports aficionados. Fans are constantly getting updates complimented by the best video of baseball action.
It rejuvenates the soul!
The other night was a little bit of everything.
There was Bryce Harper’s home debut, which ended in a fifth straight loss for the Nats. An...
BEST OF MAXIM
ANAHEIM, Calif. Every at-bat looks the same.
No matter what he does, Albert Pujols can't seem to shake himself out of his slump. He hits the ball hard, most of the time anyway, but it invariably becomes a ground ball out to third base.
He did it again Thursday night against the Toronto Blue Jays. Three at-bats became three grounders to third, one of them a double play in...
The Angels finally had enough yesterday and decided to insert Mark Trumbo in at first base in place of the slumping Albert Pujols. I’m sure it’s only temporary. The general idea is to give the world-class slugger a day or two away from it all to clear his head. Luckily for the Angels, they have plenty of bats to insert in his place while he figures things out.
A man in a new uniform
How quickly things change. How quickly fans turn. Just last October, Albert Pujols was celebrating his second World Series Championship, and as the best player, on the world’s best team, Pujols sat on top of the baseball world. Unfortunately for Los Angeles Angels fans, the championship trophy Pujols held was while he was in a St. Louis Cardinals’ uniform...
Just a cartoon.
Albert Pujols, meet rock bottom. Rock bottom, I'd like to introduce you to Albert Pujols.
As if Pujols' now infamous homerless streak wasn't already bad enough, you can add a new ignominious achievement to his 2012 resume: he's dropped below the Mendoza line. After going 0-for-4 against Henderson Alvarez and Toronto tonight, Albert's batting average on the season...
Struggling Angels slugger Albert Pujols predicts he'll bounce back,
shrugs off boos.
Albert Pujols is scuffling right now. He is an offensive black hole. Well, let me clarify, at the plate, he is a black hole; I wasn’t trying to suggest his inability to hit the ball is offensive, though some Angels’ fans may argue otherwise. There’s no denying the fact that Pujols is playing extremely poorly; I’m not here to argue against that. At this point there are 3...
The May 3rd, 2012 edition of daily news for the Los Angeles Angels ...
ESPN Stats and Info recently tweeted this. Carlos Beltran with 2 HR and a career-high 7 RBI vs #Pirates … in 1st 3 innings of game. — ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) May 3, 2012 This significance of this is that Beltran was brought into St. Louis to replace Albert Pujols. That’s currently two more
There’s this new movie – maybe you’ve heard of it – called The Avengers. It’s supposed to be pretty epic, but I’ll leave that discussion for other places. Here, it’s all baseball, so we’re not going to look at the movie, cartoon, or comic book versions of the Avengers, but rather who their baseball counterparts might be.
Giancarlo Stanton is The Hulk – Obviously...
Hey, I remember these guys. Agressive baserunning and situational hitting. Quality starting pitching and solid defense. It's like whatever aliens had been inhabiting the LA Angels' uniforms were beamed back home for at least one night. Now let's see if they can keep it up.Angels 6 Blue Jays 2Game Notes -- Alright let's not get ahead of ourselves about the Albert...
With so many massive signings, the Los Angeles Angels were the talk of baseball. Similar in tune to the Boston Red Sox of 2011, who made huge splashes with 1B Adrian Gonzalez and LF Carl Crawford. Like those Red Sox, the Los Angeles Angels are sputtering in a monumentally disappointing fashion.
The problems start with their two free agent signings. A major concern was...

Let's just go ahead and just treat this like a new beginning for Albert Pujols. Fresh off receiving his first ever famous Scioscia Mental Day...
