Manager Search Down to Two

The Red Sox have narrowed the search for a manager down to two candidates; Bobby Valentine and Gene Lamont.  Everything points to Valentine being the front-runner and Lamont only there if a deal can't be worked out with Bobby V.  Look for the final announcement to come on Monday or Tuesday.

Thoughts on the New Manager Search

Time to catch up on the Sox after a few weeks of Two-a-Days (hope you enjoyed them).  The big news right now for the Sox is the managerial search which is apparently likely to end in the next day or two.I am not a huge Bobby Valentine fan.  I do not know if he is going to bring the “disciplinarian” aspect to the job and he is enough of an egomaniac that I am skeptical of him...
