Time for the weekend! Let's get right to the trots.
Home Run of the Day: Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels - 19.38 seconds [video]
Coming immediately on the heels of a successful suicide squeeze (successful thanks to a missed tag by AJ Ellis), Angels Stadium was already rocking when Trout took the first pitch he saw deep over the centerfield wall to give the Angels a late lead over the Dodgers. The crowd's euphoria only grew.
Slowest Trot: Bobby Abreu, Los Angeles Dodgers - 25.5 seconds [video]
An early home run off of Dan Haren gave the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. I'd say that Abreu was just moving at his typical speed around the bases, but his last tater trot this season was in the 22-second range. The next slowest trot was at 24.15 seconds from Miguel Olivo.
Quickest Trot: Chris Heisey, Cincinnati Reds - 17.86 seconds [video]
When I noticed yesterday that Heisey and Scott Rolen had both hit early home runs in the Reds game, I tweeted that I was predicting a combined t...

Angels catchers in the rye
Historically, there has always been a major deficiency in some facet of Angel's catchers. Dear Dodger Fans,It's okay. I understand your frustration. Your team was riding high with a solid first couple of innings and looked like you were on your way to righting your sinking ship. Truest Angel: Jim Fregosi

The skinny kid at shortstop gives a defiant look toward the fungo circle. The intense glare is partially hidden by the sweat stained cap that covers his neat crew cut. Coach Joe Gordon slaps a sharp grounder to the kid’s right. With the grace of a seasoned veteran the kid glides over it with ease. Scooping the up the ball...

Santana, Capuano couldn't be more different
ANAHEIM, Calif Saturday afternoon's starting pitchers for the Dodgers and Angels couldn't be having seasons that are anymore different.
