The Detroit Tigers activated left-handed pitcher Phil Coke before Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, and they are now hoping to activate rookie right-handed reliever Bruce Rondon for the World Series should they defeat the Boston Red Sox in the ALCS. MLB.com’s Jason Beck reports that Rondon has resumed his throwing program in hopes of pitching in the World Series.
