Chris Parmelee, subbing in for Justin Morneau at first base for the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night for the team’s tilt with the Milwaukee Brewers at Target Field, made a spectacular play in the field, holding on to the ball while tumbling down the steps of the camera well along the first baseline. Your browser does not support iframes. Minnesota Twins first baseman Chris Parmelee made an incredible catch of a foul popup while tumbling into the camera pit during Wednesday night's game at Target Field. It happened in the top of the eighth inning as Milwaukee Brewers batter Carlos Gomez hit a foul popup to the first base side towards the edge of the stands. Parmelee reached...
I don't even know what to say about Minnesota Twins center fielder Aaron Hicks' defense anymore. The 23-year old rookie made another amazing catch on Wednesday night on a sinking liner hit by Rickie Weeks of the Brewers. Look at him just lay out and snag a single away from Weeks with the greatest of ease.
To top things off, Hicks came up in the top of the fifth inning...

Aaron Hicks does his own version of Kirby Puckett by making a spectacular catch taking away a Carlos Gomez home run away early in the second inning. Denying that home run in the second inning gave his team a chance as the Twins and Brewers had to play extras. The game went 14 innings before Minnesota pulled it out 6-5.
Catch was so impressive...

Jim Souhan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune had an excellent piece Tuesday about Carlos Gomez and his emergence as an All-Star caliber player in 2013, in which Gomez attributes his success largely to the lack of restraint on his swing and approach to the plate. Gomez, a former Minnesota Twin, found that swinging harder rather than swinging calculatedly...
Plenty of things happened in Minnesota's 6-5 win in a marathon 14-inning game in Milwaukee. Rookie Aaron Hicks produced some of the most memorable moments.
Hicks robbed Brewers outfielder (and former Twin) Carlos Gomez of a home run, hit one a few innings later and crossed home plate to score the eventual game-winning run in the top of the 14th inning.
After Minnesota took...
One of if not the coolest play for a team on offense has to be the home run. There is just something about being able to stand there and slowly jog to first as you watch the ball head into the stands. Of course when it comes to defense the coolest play has to be stealing a home run by making the last second grab before it clears the fence.
Like Minnesota's Aaron Hicks did...
Minnesota Twins first baseman Chris Parmelee needed every bit of Target Field’s foul territory and a tad more to run down this Carlos Gomez pop-up Wednesday night.
And while the catch was nice, that wasn’t the best part of the clip. The runner-up for best part is the police officer manning the camera well signaling the out. And the winner is Joe Twinsfan’s uber-excited...
Minnesota Twins first baseman Chris Parmelee was subbing in for Justin Morneau on Wednesday night and made the best of his playing time. Carlos Gomez of the Milwaukee Brewers popped up in the spacious foul territory of Target Field. Parmelee charged and went into the camera well to make the superb catch. Parmelee held on to the ball for the catch and the police officer nearby even...
Sam Deduno pitched 7 solid innings giving up only 1 earned run and Glen Perkins picked up his 11th save of the season as the Twins (22-28) beat Milwaukee 4-1 tonight at Target Field. The victory gives Minnesota its 3rd win in a row (all three against the Brewers).
But the real story has been the play of Aaron Hicks who slammed another home run tonight, his 6th on the season...
BRING IT BACK
Tweet Last season the Minnesota Twins had Denard Span and Ben Revere patrolling center field the majority of the time. Span is now in D.C. playing for the Washington Nationals and Revere is making sensational catches for the Philadelphia Phillies. The man in the middle of the outfield, more often than not, in 2013 [...]
The Twins have faced the Milwaukee Brewers this week in their rivalry series. The Brewers this season has been woeful but they have had one very bright spot: Carlos Gomez is finally having his long awaited breakout.
Gomez is in the first year of a new three year contract and is hitting .330 with 10 home runs, in addition to his blazing speed and quality defense, he has been the best...
MINNEAPOLIS The Minnesota Twins have seen players go through concussions before. Most notably, Justin Morneau was sidelined for the second half of the 2010 season when he was hit in the head while sliding into second base in Toronto.
With that image not yet faded from the Twins' minds, it was understandable for Minnesota to worry when a similar situation happened to third baseman...

Although interleague games will now go on all year, this week is the all-interleague part of the schedule, and the Brewers will play their first games in an AL ballpark against the Twins. I have this feeling that the Brewers have never done particularly well on the road against AL teams, and in particular, that they don’t get a lot of...
Well, the Twins are who we thought they were. They're clearly lacking in the pitching department, but the offense that "isn't a problem" has kind of been a problem too.
Rather than go over how much everyone sucks in the majors, let's look at some of the players that make up one of the deeper groups of prospects in major league baseball.
I have tickets for tonight’s Twins game, in case you were wondering if it will rain tonight (it will)
Keyshawn narc’d on the Biebs.
Peyton Manning can do it all.
Local colleges did not recruit the Mighty Ducks roster very hard
Minnesota 6, Milwaukee 5 (14 innings) – Aaron Hicks had another quality game. A quality game that refused to end.
