Hiroki Kuroda gave up two and with the weak offense, would get the loss. New York Yankees 0 — Colorado Rockies 2   Yankees held to just four hits in tonight’s 2-0 loss to the Colorado Rockies.   Hiroki Kuroda started the opener in Colorado. Through five innings, Kuroda was solid in familiar territory from his days with the Dodgers. While with the Dodgers, Kuroda had four starts in Coors Field. He had a 1-2 record with a 6.85 ERA. With two outs in the sixth, Kuroda would finally surrender runs. Second baseman Josh Rutledge got a single and Carlos Gonzalez would cash-in. The Rockies left fielder would hit a two-run home run to give the Rockies the lead. These runs would prove to be the difference in the game. For Kuroda, he went seven innings, allowing the two runs mentioned, with seven hits and one walk while striking out three. The Yankees offense could not figure out Jorge De La Rosa and the rest of the Rockies pitchers. The top of the Yankees lineup managed to develop something against De La Rosa. In the first inning, Nix would single and steal second but Robinson Cano and Vernon Wells could not come through with Nix in scoring position. Then in the third inning, Ichiro Suzuki would wreak havoc on the bases. After two outs, Ichiro Suzuki would get a single and steal second and third base. Unfortunately, Nix would strikeout and leave another runner stranded in scoring position. The Yankees could simply not get any offense generated in a park known for inflating offenses.     Win – Jorge De La Rosa (3-3) Loss – Hiroki Kuroda (4-2) Save – Rafael Betancourt (9)   Notables Yankees *Jayson Nix – 2 for 4 *Ichiro Suzuki – 1 for 4 Rockies *Carlos Gonzalez – 1 for 4, R, 2-Run Home Run (7) in the 6th, 2 RBI (18) *Josh Rutledge – 3 for 4, R   Current Yankees Record: 18-13
