Baseball America is reporting that the Red Sox have signed RHP Sean White to a minor league contract. The 30-year-old pitcher has appeared in 105 major league games, all with the Seattle Mariners, posting a career 4.16 ERA in 134.0 innings. SoxProspects | Red Sox sign RHP Sean White to minor-league deal

Not much happening for the Sox today. We found out yesterday that Scott Atchison remains with the organization, and now the Sox have agreed with yet another pitcher, sinkerballer (not snowboarder) Sean White. White appears to be a longshot to make the team, given the glut of similar pitchers with more experience that are now on the roster. But we all know how valuable organizational depth is.

White's best season came in 2009 with the Mariners, in which he amassed a 1.08 WHIP and 2.80 ERA in 64 innings of relief work. He was unable to repeat that success in 2010, and ended up in the Rockies' minor league system for 2011.
