On Saturday, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will race at the Michigan International Speedway for the first time since 2020. That brought a host of unknowns into the weekend, especially since many current Truck Series drivers didn't compete in the 2020 race at the track.
Zane Smith won at Michigan in the most recent Truck Series race held at the two-mile track in 2020.
Following a Friday afternoon practice session, Truck Series star Corey Heim says the 13th race of the 2025 Truck Series season will be entertaining.
"Practice was crazy, man," Heim told Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass following his runner-up finish to Brenden Queen in Friday's ARCA Menards Series race at Michigan. "We were bumper-to-bumper, we were pushing each other down the straightaways. Obviously, the dirty air is pretty big in the corners, but unless you just about spin out, you can pretty much catch up to 'em by the end of the next straightaway."

"The runs are going to be huge, it's going to be really entertaining. I'm eager to find out."
Heim will have a veteran crew chief in Scott Zippadelli atop his pit box for Saturday's race, which should be a helpful asset as Heim pilots a truck around MIS for the first time.
Heim's TRICON Garage teammate, Tanner Gray, was fastest in Friday's 50-minute practice session. Luke Fenhaus, Ross Chastain, Chandler Smith and Tyler Ankrum rounded out the top five, with Carson Hocevar, Layne Riggs, Ty Majeski, Heim and Kaden Honeycutt completing the top 10.
Other notable practice results include Grant Enfinger in 12th, Nashville winner Rajah Caruth in 13th, two-time Truck Series champion Ben Rhodes in 18th, Corey LaJoie in 24th and Toni Breidinger in 28th.
Qualifying for Saturday's race will take place at 8:05 a.m. ET on Saturday morning, with coverage on FS1. The DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 will go green shortly after noon ET, with coverage on Fox, NRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
