Don’t look now, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. is once again building momentum while searching for his first win of 2013. Up next on the schedule? The place where he last won — Michigan. By: Toby Christie – Follow on Twitter @Tobalical Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s 2013 season got off to such a fast start that it had many wondering if this would be the year that he’d finally hoist the Sprint Cup at year’s end. However after racking up five top-10 finishes in 2013′s first five races, Earnhardt’s hot streak began to cool a tad. Over the next seven races Earnhardt averaged a 20.5 finish, and had dropped from the points lead to sixth in the standings. Things were spiraling out of control fast, and had this have been 2009 the driver may have folded. Earnhardt and crew chief Steve Letarte did as they have done since being paired together, the duo put their heads down and kept on working.
