NASCAR drvier Scott Speed and his crew faced a dilemma following the Daytona 500.The No. 95 Leavine Family Racing car found itself without any sponsors. Thus, the crew was left to find an interesting way to acquire funding elsewhere.So, Speed came up with an idea of turning the exterior of the car into a mix between a pirate ship and an old Jolly Roger F-14 fighter jet.After getting the nod of approval from crew chief Wally Rogers, all Speed had to do was get team owner Bob Leavine on board, as well."I walked over to Bob and was like, 'Bob, here's the deal, bud -- for the race we don't have sponsors on, we're going to paint this thing flat black, put the Jolly Roger on the hood. Wassup!'" Speed said. "I had Wally behind me kind of backing me up, and (Leavine) was like, 'Alright, sounds good.'
