Keep the ball on a String

If you were ever wondering about my vigorous workout routine, here is an up close and personal video clip of how we "Warm-Up." This is just the beginning of my workout routine everyday of the summer at Eagle Church with Ed Schilling. Workouts lasted for about 2 hours and they ended with everyone drenched in sweat. The clips that you are about to check out don't show the whole drill. We go for 25 seconds on each drill and chart each one so that we can compete to see who gets the most dribbles on each drill. I currently own most of the records. When they get broken you know I'll be headin right back to try and get em back. hehe.

I always wanted to see the dreaded Ed Schiling workouts in action, thanks for the vid!

awesome clip Conley. Will you guys have an offensive system that will mimic the Suns with Iavaroni there?

huh? Grizzley's mimic the Suns? You're crazy.

You know that time where you are bouncing the balls back and forth, you dance that way too!
I have seen you do that 100 times in real life, it reminds me of Tiger, taking the club and fooling around with the golf ball, when you have a ball in your hand Michael, you start fooling around with it. You are an awesome ball handler, I love you lots! See you soon, hopefully!

Awesome. Just awesome. Good post, good video, way to go YB!

man... sweet video...

Man I cant wait for this season to start and my Grizz to get rolling!!! Good luck to you man

Now if we can just get you to hold all of the shooting records, we might just see an All Star in the making? Good Sh*t Mike. Camp is getting real close.

yo u make that look madd easy and u hanlded it well, well better than well amazingly

Nice video....I thought me sweating 30 minutes on the treadmill was a workout. I would have a stroke if I had to do the workouts that you all do.

Wow. Nice vid.

Ed Shilling Jr. is the man. I love how he can not only explain the drill, he can still do it better than most of his athletes. Very impressive handles Mike. I've only been cursed.....i mean blessed to be a part of 1 of his workouts.
He is the complete opposite of his dad, the Big Chill. Big Chill is a legend big man over at Butler. You should really meet him sometime if you get a chance. So are you and Ed going to come out with a training video? It's been awhile since he has done one I think (at least since before he started Champions Academy).

Wow, Michael! All I can say is that's just incredible! Keep up the good work and stay healthy. Hugs! Mrs. E

those are some mad skills...whats with the blow up basketball like doll in the back...awkward.

"PUPPET MASTER"....with out the strings! Sick Conley, sick. Can't wait to see your game speed bro! Holla....

Nice ballhandling skills. This video reminds me that I need to work on mine. :(

Hi Michael, It's getting cold here in Columbus and that means almost time for Buckeye basketball. lol You are the man, I've been a Buckeye BBALL fan since I was 5, thats 30 years of point guards and you are the greatest we've ever had. Out of all the guys I've watched, my all Buckeye team: C - G.Oden, PF - P.Carter, SF - J.Jackson, SG - M.Redd, PG - M.Conley. Great video, I guess now I see why I never got to play pro ball, that is just god like dribbling. Tell Greg we all are praying for him here in Columbus. I will be watching all your games on direct tv, so light it up! P.S. I remeber watching your dad in the Foot Locker dunk contest, noboby else was in his class! lol

HOLY SH*T that is an insane video!, those are some sick handles...very very impressive, who are the other guys working out with him?

Ok...now try three balls!!!
Just kidding.
Looks great!

Holy cow, you are almost too fast for my eyes to recognize every single motion. Get yourself a ticket to the Skills Challenge at the All-Star Weekend ;)

that was awsommm.. teach the aussies to do that...

... now try them while moving. Lol

No one compares with the Chill. I was never a star basketball player but I attended 5-Star basketball camp for 4 years in high school and Ed Schilling is an incredible teacher. The Chill and Coach Kenny Barer (UMASS-Lowell) are the future of college basketball.

I was at the Steve Nash charity game and saw two 9 year olds do the exact same thing...lol

Seriously though man, that every day must help your handle tremendously.

Any tips for an amateur baller on dribbling technique?

Keep your hand on top of the ball at all times and dribble the ball very hard heh.

WOW!! This is awesome. Can't wait til the start of NBA season. Good Luck to all the teams. LETS GO SUNS!!

That was a pretty good clip showing your speed (quicker than the eye hands) A couple times i had to double take because i saw the ball moving but not your hands. Way awesome ball control also. Keep it up, you are looking like an All-Star.

Nobody better than Ed "The Chill" Schilling AT ANY LEVEL at teaching skill development. So much of what I have learned I have learned from him. Those involved with his workouts at Champion's Academy are lucky! Pro players should be knocking down his door to get in for some workouts!!!

show everything not just the warm up

Great decision allowing Edd Schilling to work your out physically, but also spiritually. Any young player would benefit greatly form Coach Schilling, primarily because he cares first about the person and then about the player. We have so many leaders in our communities, but few really understand what leadership means. Putting others first is how Coach Schilling has built is career, family and life and that is what leadership is about. Not this self serving garbage that runs rampant among college and professional sports. Best wishes to you Michael.

No joke! You should get a better dribbling video workout. Like magic johnson. Your handles are sick

Hey michael could you post like a whole video of Ed's workouts. Or post other parts of your workout in separate vids. If you could that would be awesome. I'm a highschool player and I already work on my handles everyday, but and drills from you and Ed would be sweet.

Yo mike thanks. This video inspired me alot. hopefully i get alot better doing 2 ball workouts instead of 1. I do the 2 ball workouts now and i gotta say they work me out more then the 1 ball i use to use. Thanks
I'll appreciate if you can some how get a whole video of the dribbling workout or other individual workouts. Thanks. Your My Idol!!! lol

that was easy i could do that with my eyes closed

OOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very Talented

superb concentration.just awesome

Just plain awesome. I gave up basketball like 5 years ago but after seeing this ive been trying to hone my skills back to at least some level. You've been a great inspiration sir, best of luck to you! :)

jus watchin dis video is makin me want 2 go outside and work on my ball handling 2 get them better
