  • Well, we all knew this was coming. I'm gonna miss seeing Bowen, but it's all about business. Altough I really doubt Bowen will stick around Milwaukee this long since his wife owns a spa (and I think a boutique) in San Antonio. As for Oberto and Thomas...GOOD RIDDANCE!
  • Big trade for the Spurs, financial flexibility for the Bucks -- my take:

  • The Spurs' (Duncan's) window is closing. I like this trade.
  • What the? Idk if Jefferson is a defensive stopper, I know he is a scorer but you already have 3 of those on your team. They needed Bowen to shut down like a Steve Nash or a Chris Paul or D-Will. Something of that nature. Don't like this trade too much.
  • can't have enough scorers. spurs were 23rd in the league in scoring and i know they didn't have manu, but roger mason was more than serviceable as a replacement.
  • They should have found a way to get Ramon Sessions too. Spurs need a young guy to wean into their aging guard spots.
  • Tony Parker is only 25-26yrs old??? I know it seems like he been playing for years,But this improves the Spurs dramatically and I gotta believe that they are the 3rd Best team in the Western Conference,Richard Jefferson is a athletic Scorer and can be a valuable asset to San Antonio next season Good Trade..Oh Bruce Bowen will probably be waived and return to San Antonio..
  • Manu is what, 32? Often injured, and Sessions is a combo guard. But yeah, I think this is an upgrade from Kurt Thomas for sure.
  • good trade to me if they get a ok center thier gone win it all
  • Jefferson has had his share of injuries lately. I don't think giving up three players for him was worth it. Especially, if the Lakers run all over the spurs, again. Plus, the spurs are going to burn out Parker, if they don't get him another playmaker off the bench.

Spurs get title ready with Jefferson trade

The Spurs have finally realized that a big trade had to be made. Richard Jefferson is first legit All-Star talent the franchise has acquired, while still in his prime, in the Greg Popovich era. Acquiring Richard Jefferson: Hardly a No-Brainer

Assuming this Richard Jefferson for Bruce Bowen, Fabricio Oberto and Kurt Thomas trade becomes official, the Spurs will, no doubt, be declared the big winners not only of this trade, but possibly of the whole week (which includes the draft) and the off-season. The Bucks are seen as having done well simply by getting rid of Jefferson's inflated contract. Yet there is a lot to...

Back from Vacation; Anything Exciting Happen?

After our early playoff exit, I took a much needed (though maybe not well deserved) break. I continued to follow the playoffs and track all things Spurs related. I just chose not to write about it. But the Spurs decided to kick off the 'offseason' (which, for many teams, is much more exciting than the regular season) in high fashion, so I have no choice but to write about...
