Found November 03, 2012 on Project Spurs:
The San Antonio Spurs (2-0) and the Utah Jazz (1-1) are set to tip-off in the AT&T Center later tonight in a one-versus-eight rematch of last year’s opening playoff round. While the Spurs have almost the exact same team back in silver and black, the Jazz have made some significant changes to their team. Before discussing some Jazz additions, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich said guard Manu Ginobili will play “limited” minutes tonight against the Jazz. On the Jazz, coach Popovich said the Jazz are a “better balanced” team with their established front court of Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, and Derrick Favors, but they’ve become a tougher opponent with the additions of Mo Williams and Marvin Williams on the perimeter. Focusing back on the Spurs, defense was an important concept in training camp this year. Coach Popovich said he has seen the carry-over defensively thus far in the Spurs’ first two games. With that defense, Coach Popovich credits the young sophomore Kawhi Leonard for leading the way in the first two games. “As far as defense goes” said Popovich,” he (Leonard) can pretty much lead the way for this team, as he did in New Orleans and as he did against OKC.”

Perhaps the most emotion Kawhi Leonard will show this season (Photo)

When San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker nailed the game-winning shot on the Oklahoma City Thunder last night, the players rushed him to celebrate the win. There were smiles all around, hugs being given and all around jubilation. Kawhi Leonard, also rushed TP to congratulate his teammate, but in true Kawhi fashion, showed little emotion. Video: Spurs' Popovich doesn't know how to judge 'happy'

Interviewing San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich can be torturous at times. Whether it be his one-worded answers or his snarky responses, Pop can sure give it back to the media. And nothing summed it up more than TNT's David Aldridge's interview with Pop during last night's game versus the Thunder. When Aldridge used the word "happy" during the interview...

Video: Matt 'Air' Bonner slam dunk champ

San Antonio Spurs' Matt Bonner is a fan favorite with his quirky sense of humor, and an all-around good guy image. However, on the court, he is seen as simply a three-point threat and the word "athletic" doesn't come to mind when describing his game. Or should it? Apparently in high school, Bonner was quite the dunker. Check out video (h/t Phil over at Orlando...

Gregg Popovich rips reporter for asking if he’s ‘happy’ about shot selection (Video)

On Wednesday night, TNT’s David Aldridge caught up with Popovich just before the fourth quarter of the Spurs game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Per usual, Pop was in no mood to talk. Aldridge asked...

Video: Utah's Favors smashes one on Tim Duncan

Throughout his stellar NBA career, Spurs' Tim Duncan has been one of the best defenders in the league.
