Yes, that’s Charles Barkley’s mother, Charcey Glenn, speaking about her son turning 50 (on February 20) during a TNT bit during all-star weekend festivities. At first this looked to be a goof. We started wondering whether that was Charles in a wig.
TNT, obviously not in the mood to do more Michael Jordan 50th retrospectives, aired “Sir Charles at 50″ and we learned that Chuck was 302 pounds when he was drafted by the 76ers.
And we met Charcey.

A break in the action...
I have learned so much about Charles Barkley since he joined the TNT’s Inside The NBA show, but some things I could have went without knowing. Last night Barkley shared with the world that he used to keep Vaseline in his belly button during games.
Barkley proclaimed he used the Vaseline to prevent chapped lips. While trying to understand his logic, I failed miserably. On one hand...
While ESPN was dorking out on all things Michael Jordan turning 50, the staff at Turner Sports was busy working on a surprise 50th birthday Charles Barkley (turns 50 on February 20) at this weekend’s all-star festivities. Busted Coverage had boots on the ground with a camera phone to catch Chuck’s birthday speech.
It didn’t disappoint.
Charles, possibly tipsy, kept the message...
Did you hear that Michael Jordan turned 50? Of course you did, thanks to a week of ESPN using Michael Jordan’s birthday to sell commercials. Meanwhile, Charles Barkley turns 50 today and didn’t get a retrospective on the WWL.
There’s no mention of it that we can find on ESPN.com/NBA. It doesn’t help that The Round Mound of Rebound works for TNT. That usually means your 50th...
It's Charles Barkley's 50th birthday today. We decided to pay the man a little tribute. First off, check out all the amazing quotes he has had. Next, read what our staff had to say about Sir Charles. (Did he ever earn the "sir"?)
Charles Barkley is kind of dumb but kind of smart. One of those type of guys. He'll say some really obvious things sometimes...
You never know what you might hear on TNT’s “Inside the NBA” during Friday night’s special broadcast for the BBVA Rising Stars challenge (the reloaded rookie-sophomore game) there was a special guest on hand, NBA legend, Karl Malone. Karl shared a story about how he and Charles Barkley were roommates at one point. Karl began a story about how Charles is a neat-freak but...
There are just some things that should be kept locked away and I mean lost in Pandora’s Box.
While at the NBA All Star weekend in Houston, Karl Malone caught up with TNT host during halftime and reminisced on Charles Barkley. Malone revealed some information that might have caused you to shift your seat while watching it live, he says that Barkley use to keep vaseline in his...
Yes, Inside the NBA isn’t a college football show … obviously … but Charles Barkley did play at Auburn and did take a few shots at Alabama’s arrested players.
Just good fun. This show is easily one of the best on TV.
Alabama and Saban release statements regarding 4 arrested players
Two former Auburn players were fatally shot in an off-campus incident
Last night the NBA’s youngest stars rallied together to play in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge Game. Charles Barkley’s team demolished Team Shaq with a 165-135 victory. The MVP honors was awarded to Denver Nugget forward Kenneth Faried, who scored 40-points and 10-rebounds.
In addition to starting off the NBA All-Stars weekend, Adidas players also made a strong impact during...
The San Antonio Spurs may see familiar face blocking their path to success in the NBA Postseason - Oklahoma City Thunder and TNT's Charles Barkley agrees. During an interview on the Dan Patrick Show, "The Chuckster" was discussing legitimate title contenders and according to him, he has a few teams in mind which include the Spurs.
“The Heat in the East and...
