PLAYERS: Sergio Rodriguez
Early season pacesetters Colon Santa Fe saw their 100 per cent record disappear in Argentina's Apertura . Colon, who had won their first two games of the season, needed to recover from a poor start to take a point off opponents Belgrano Cordoba . The visitors led 2-0 inside 11 minutes thanks to Claudio Perez's penalty and Cesar Carranza's effort soon after. However, Facundo Curuchet halved the deficit on the half hour and Sergio Rodriguez's 71st-minute own goal made sure Colon picked up a point which keeps them at the top of the table. Boca Juniors and Estudiantes both moved to within a point of the summit with wins in their third matches of the campaign. Guillermo Burdisso gave Boca a dream start with a goal inside two minutes but Ivan Borghello levelled for opponents All Boys 13 minutes later. However, Santiago Silva restored the home side's advantage just before the break and made it 3-1 two minutes after the restart - and that was the end of the scoring. Estudiantes were 1-0 winners at San Lorenzo, with Roman Martinez making the decisive breakthrough 11 minutes from time.
