NBA Matchup Insight

The Trailblazers are finally back at home, where they are 14-7 this season, but they will be facing a red-hot Bucks’ team that has won 5 straight game and new have a great scorer in Monta Ellis.

*NBA ATS Matchup Report*

The Blazers have won 9 of their last 10 games against the Bucks and they have not lost to Milwaukee at home since the 2006 season.

Ellis came over in a trade from Golden State and he scored 18 points in his first game in a Milwaukee uniform.

The Bucks’ offense has been on fire, as in their 5-game winning streak they have averaged 112.8 ppg. Ellis has averaged 30 ppg points on 53.4% shooting in his last 4 games against the Blazers in Portland.

The Blazers must play good perimeter D against the solid Bucks’ backcourt duo of Ellis (21.8 ppg) and Brandon Jennings (18.9 ppg).

The Blazers need to start winning, as they are 2.5 games back of Houston for the 8th and last playoff spot in the Western Conference.

LaMarcus Aldridge (21.4 ppg) has been struggling as of late averaging 17 ppg on 37.3% shooting in his last 4 games. He needs to step it up on offense, especially since the Blazers traded away Gerald Wallace.

With Wallace out of town Jamal Crawford, Nicolas Batum, and Wesley Mathews need to play well on offense and especially help Aldridge out if he continues to struggle.

The Blazers would have had a big advantage on the boards in this game, but that is not the case anymore since leading rebounder Marcus Camby is now in Houston.

The Blazers need to start winning, as they are 2.5 games back of Houston

Aldridge will also have to play well on the glass tonight.

The Blazers may get some luck in this game, as Ersan Ilyasova (12.4 ppg 8.7 rpg), who leads Milwaukee in rebounding, may miss this game with a chest injury.

Bucks vs. Blazers Handicapping Preview

This season the Bucks are 21-23 ATS with an O/U record of 29-14-1 and the Blazers are 21-23 ATS with an O/U record of 23-22.

In some betting trends for this non-conference match up the Bucks are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games overall, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record, and they have an Over record of 7-0 in their last 7 games.

The Blazers are 20-8-2 ATS in their last 30 games as a home favorite, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall, and they have an Over record of 5-2 in their last 7 games.

Pick: The Bucks have won 5 straight games, but only 1 of those wins was facing a team that is in the playoff picture.

The Blazers are at home and I think because of that they will win and cover the spread.
