Carmelo Anthony must be saving his talents for the Play-offs. Anthony only scored 12 points against a team that has been struggling defensively to say the least. At times this season the Cavaliers looked as though they completely for-gotten they were suppose to play defense. Not last night. The Knicks faced a Cavaliers team that somehow re-discovered how to play Basketball at the NBA level. For the Knicks this had to come as a surprise.

The Knicks would see the return of Amare Stoudemire last night who would score 15 points, even with his return they couldn’t stop the Cleveland Cavaliers from putting one in the win column. Mike Bibby would get 12 points for his Knicks and Steve Novak the man who helped to bury the Cleveland Cavaliers in the past would add 15 points coming off the bench last night. The Knicks would watch as the Cavaliers rookie sensation Kyrie Irving would lead all Cavs in scoring with 21 points and Manny Harris the man the Cavaliers have been sending back and forth to the D league helped the Cavs best the Knicks by adding 19 points.

Kyrie Irving Returns as the Cavaliers Drop 15th of Last 18

When Kyrie Irving returned from a stint of missed games due to a concussion, the first hit came with the biggest gasp. Roy Hibbert, seemingly twice the size of the Cavaliers’ rookie point guard, was ready and waiting. Irving took him on, full speed ahead for two points and deep exhale from all of those with vested interest in the player’s well being. Almost two months (to the...

Amare Stoudemire says there's a ''great chance'' he can play in Game 4 of the Knicks' series against Miami on Sunday despite cutting his left hand on a fire extinguisher case. Stoudemire is out of Thursday's Game 3 after a surgeon repaired a muscle in the hand Tuesday. The Knicks are calling him doubtful for Game 4, but Stoudemire says he's '...

The Disappointing Duo of Carmelo and Amare May Never Work

Friday night’s 98-90 loss by the New York Knicks to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Amare Stoudemire’s return to the lineup stoked the fears that Knicks fans have been harboring during Carmelo Anthony’s recent hot streak. Anthony came crashing down to Earth with a 12-point, 5-for-13 performance, along with four turnovers. Anthony scored 11 of his 12 points in the first half...

Cavs shut down Knicks early, hold late in win

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Amare Stoudemire's return from a back injury didn't help the playoff-bound New York Knicks, who were stunned 98-90 by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. Stoudemire had missed New York's previous 13 games with a bulging disk. But even with him in the lineup, the Knicks couldn't handle the Cavs, who snapped a three-game losing streak and won...

Lin Runs For 1st Time Snce Surgery

After blowing up the sports world with an incredible two weeks of games, Jeremy Lin became an instant star. Once Carmelo Anthony returned to the lineup after injury, however, his production dropped significantly. Then, Lin suffered a knee injury that would require surgery and put him out for the rest of the season (barring an [...]

The Hawks took their final lead at 112-111 on Joe Johnson's 3-pointer with 1:50 left. Anthony countered with a jumper 10 seconds later for the final margin. Amare Stoudemire blocked...

Thorpe: Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson Rookies With Most Upside

When the Cavaliers landed the #1 and #4 picks in the draft, it was imperative they land two impact players with those picks. We know Kyrie Irving has lived up to the top pick and then some, but there’s a fair debate as to whether or not Tristan Thompson was the right pick at #4. ESPN’s David Thorpe, one of the sharpest talent evaluators in the media, think the Cavaliers might...

Amare, Melo combine for 27 in loss

Amare Stoudemire's return from a back injury didn't help the playoff-bound New York Knicks, who were stunned 98-90 by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. Stoudemire had missed New York's previous 13 games with a bulging disk. But even with him in the lineup, the Knicks couldn't handle the Cavs, who snapped a three-game losing streak and won for just the fourth...

Box Score: Spurs 114, Cavaliers 98

The Cavaliers competed, but in the end, they were no match for a San Antonio Spurs team that looks poised for a deep playoff run. The Spurs shot 55% and connected on eight three pointers as they defeated the Cavaliers 114-98 in the AT&T Center. The Spurs were led by their bench of Manu Ginobili (20 points, 9-of-12 shooting) and Stephen Jackson (17 points) as their bench outscored...

Wilson Chandler – out for season

Last season, as part of the Carmelo Anthony trade, many basketball fans were excited to see Wilson Chandler in a Nuggets uniform, thinking they were getting the powerful New York Wilson. However, my friends, that never occurred. Denver received an emotionally hurt Wilson Chandler and his ineffectiveness for Denver in round one of the playoffs. [...]
