Found June 15, 2013 on Red's Army:
I’m just about as sick of this as everyone else, but it’s getting serious now. Adrian Wojnarowski reports: The Boston Celtics are deep in discussions with the Los Angeles Clippers on a blockbuster deal to send coach Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett to Los Angeles, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The final hurdle of a deal centers on the Clippers’ willingness to include guard Eric Bledsoe into a trade package with Boston, sources said. Boston and Los Angeles are discussing a package that will send DeAndre Jordan and two first-round picks to the Celtics for Garnett and the right to hire Rivers as coach, sources said. Garnett will waive his no-trade clause to go to the Clippers, where he’ll be reunited with Rivers. Celtics assistant Ty Lue also will likely join them in Los Angeles, sources told Yahoo! Sports. Things have moved very quickly in the last 24 hours and I’m sure both sides would like to get this finished, one way or the other, asap. Do stay-tuned..

Woj Reports: Boston Celtics, LA Clippers in 'deep discussion' regarding Rivers, Garnett

Earlier on Saturday, I wrote about my disdain of this entire Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce to the LA Clippers gossip mill. CLNS columnist, Rich Conte, added his 2 cents shortly after. We both stated our hesitance to believe any such rumors regarding Doc, Danny and the crew. I'm not that easily swayed but now the ever reliable, Adrian Wojnarowski is in the mix and had...

Rivers to Clippers trade dead?

There were talks about Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers going to the Clippers, but it looks like that trade might not be happening.

Clippers preparing press conference for Doc Rivers and KG

Well, we thought this all would come to a head soon, and it has. The Clippers are apparently already preparing to announce Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett. Hearing Clips already prepping for intro press conference for at least Doc & KG. Hard to see deal not being done soon. — Baxter Holmes (@BaxterHolmes) June 17, 2013 To be clear: Paul Pierce is NOT part of this trade....

ESPN: Doc Rivers has interest in coaching the Clippers

ESPN is reporting Doc Rivers has interest in coaching the L.A. Clippers. Sources told on Wednesday that Rivers is highly intrigued by the idea of coaching the Clippers in the event that he and the Celtics part company after nine seasons together and one championship in 2008. Sources say that the Clippers, meanwhile, would immediately vault Rivers to the top of their list...

Speculating on Danny Ainge’s asking price for Doc Rivers

The LA Times Broderick Turner asked some anonymous NBA executives to speculate on what Danny Ainge might ask in return from the Clippers should he let Doc Rivers out of his contract: Two executives said the first thing Ainge would want is young players such as Clippers centerDeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe, and an expiring contract such as Caron Butler’s $8-million deal. Then...

Report: Doc Rivers’ ‘Dream Scenario’ Is to Coach Clippers, Win Championship in L.A. With Kevin Garnett

Forget Ray Allen. This is treason of a much higher kind. When reports first arose last week that Doc Rivers hadn’t decided whether he wanted to coach another season in Boston, most saw the news as a formality. Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge had said Rivers would be back, and Rivers, who takes time each offseason to decide whether to return, seemed likely...

The Magic and Doc Rivers' future

These days, Doc Rivers is probably enjoying his vacation more than anything. He is probably playing a lot of golf at Interlachen and spending time with his family, something he truly enjoys. He also truly enjoys coaching and being in the NBA. Rivers has turned into one of the very best coaches in the league since he was fired in Orlando in 2003 after a disappointing 1-10 start...

Red Wrote the Book on Coaching - And It's a Good One

Much of the talk this off season has been about coaches.  Twelve teams fired their coaches and are looking for new ones.  Of course, there is the Doc Rivers debacle going on.  So, it seems like a good time to take our minds off all the Doc talk and go back to the Master and read about his coaching philosophy.   Red Auerbach wrote Basketball for the Player, the Fan and the Coach...

Clippers Discussed Acquiring Paul Pierce In Garnett Package Before Deadline

The Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics discussed trade scenarios in February that would have sent centered around both Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. The Celtics would have acquired Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan in what would have been a wider package. The Clippers plan to be "very aggressive" and "shake every tree" to upgrade the roster this offseason...

Report: Doc Rivers, KG & Paul Pierce Interested in Package Deal to Clippers

It would be complicated, but not impossible. There's a rising belief around the NBA that Doc, KG & Pierce all want to carry on as a trio in Clipperland if they can't roll on in Boston — Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) June 15, 2013 Cash and draft considerations in exchange for Doc? Separate trades for Garnett and Pierce without surrendering Blake Griffin? All do-able —...
