The Celtics lost their fifth straight game to the Thunder tonight 97-88. It was Kendrick Perkins first return to the Garden since being traded last February. Boston had made the game close in the second half, however in the end they could not finish the deal. Paul Pierce led the team with 24 points. Rajon Rondo had 12 points and nine assists. The Thunder were led by, no big surprise, Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook with 28 and 26 points respectively. The Celtics fall to 4-8 and are amidst the largest losing streak of the new big three era.

This is It, Celtics Fans

Something to think about today before tonight’s game: February 16th, 2011. That was the last time Kendrick Perkins played a basketball game in Boston. Taking Stock: C's-Pacers

After every game, we'll take stock of how each individual performance affects the player's overall value. Starters Paul Pierce:  The 21 points were great, the 6 turnovers were not, neither was the 5-12 shooting.  But he was drawing fouls and he he was producing more than he has been.  On a back-to-back night, there's something to be said for that. Rajon...

Boston’s best game still not enough to beat Thunder

The good news: The return of Kendrick Perkins and the challenge to match up to one of NBA’s elite teams in the Oklahoma City Thunder got the Celtics to play their best game of the season. The bad news: Oklahoma City 97, Boston 88. Maybe the highlight for Boston fans was the video tribute to…
