With Rajon Rondo out for the season with a torn ACL, they will likely look to external candidates to help soften the blow of losing their point guard. They could go to their bench exclusively for the rest of the season, but there are players available that could help the team going forward. One of those players is Delonte West.A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN Boston thinks the Celtics could try to sign West now that they know the extent of Rondo's injury. He says Boston will be searching through the D-League and the waiver wire for anyone they think can help the team immediately. West could be that guy."A league source told CSNNE.com earlier this season that the only way the C's would even consider bringing West back for a third stint in Boston, would be if one of the guards currently on the roster suffered a long-term injury."West has not played in the NBA at all this season. He is currently playing in the D-League after being released by the Dallas Mavericks last year. The Celtics, though, are familiar with West. As Blakely mentioned in his article, West has been a Boston Celtic at two different points in his career. In fact, the Celtics drafted him 24th overall in 2004.West has eight NBA seasons under his belt in his career. He has averaged 9.7 points and 3.7 assists per game in his career. Most recently, he played for the Dallas Mavericks in the 2011-12 season. He averaged 9.6 points and 3.2 assists per game with them.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ?
