You ever see the multi-million dollar price tag on some of those enormous mansions and wonder who in the world can afford them? Well fittingly, one $8.5 million mansion in LA is going from one entertainer to another. LA Clippers point guard Chris Paul is purchasing singer Avril Lavigne’s mansion in the gated Bel Air Crest community according to TMZ. This is notable not just because the mansion is changing hands from a singer to sports star, but also because of what it tells us about Paul’s future in LA. Paul was traded to the Clippers in December and is only guaranteed to remain with the team this season (though he has said he will pick up his option for next season). After that, he becomes a free agent. If he’s decided to buy a home in LA instead of renting, it shows he may plan on living in the city for a long time, which is great news for Clippers fans. As for details on the sick pad, it’s 12,184 square feet and it features 8 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, a wine cellar, 10-car...

Chris Paul buying star's 8.5 million Bel-Air home?

There will soon be a new Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in town. Clippers point guard Chris Paul is reportedly buying Avril Lavigne's Bel-Air mansion for 8.5 million. TMZ is reporting that Paul plans to purchase the 12,184 square-foot abode, which includes eight bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, a wine cellar, 10-car garage, gym, sauna and a covered outdoor living room. Paul, a four-time...

Blake Griffin Misses Alley-Oop (Video)

Blake Griffin is probably the best dunker in the NBA. The dude went nuts as soon as he heard Chris Paul was coming to town, saying “lob city!” He’s hooked up for several sweet alley-oops this season, but on Friday night against the Timberwolves, we experienced somewhat of a first. Griffin actually missed on an alley-oop.The pass to him was low, leading him into the rim. At...

Chris Paul Dropping $8.5 Million On This Sweet Pad

Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul is a pretty lucky dude. He got the hell out of New Orleans or whatever swamp the Hornets play in and moved on up to the land of swimming pools and movie stars. Yeah, it could have been better. David Stern could have unclenched his butthole and actually let Paul play for the Lakers, instead of the bastard stepchild of NBA franchises, but...

Chris Paul -- Clippers Star Buying Bel Air MANSION from Avril Lavigne

Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul is planning to stay in town a while ... 'cause he's about to drop $8.5 MILLION on a sick Bel Air mansion that he's buying from Avril Lavigne ... TMZ has learned. Sources tell us ... Paul fell in love with the 12,184… Permalink

Clips minus Paul again; Williams back in lineup

Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul sat out Wednesday's game against the Dallas Mavericks and is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberlwolves.

Schwan: Do the right thing Danny. Trade Paul Pierce

By Henry Schwan There are reports that the Celtics are receiving inquiries from other teams about Paul Pierce. This is a no-brainer. Danny Ainge should trade him while the 34-year-old former All-Star still has some value. I wouldn't settle for less than a future first round pick and a young player who shows some upside. On the surface, this kind of return could be a reach, especially...

Reggie Bush, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin And People You’ve Never Heard Of Went Bowling

Chris Paul has missed the last three games with a strained left hamstring, but it’s done little to stop the 8-4 Los Angeles Clippers from at least pacing the first place Los Angeles Lakers (10-5) in the Western Conference Pacific Division. While Paul is listed as day-to-day for his on-court activities, the injury luckily didn’t interfere with one of his favorite off-court events...

Clippers' Paul, Butler questionable vs. Raptors

Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul and forward Caron Butler went through practice Saturday and are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Toronto Raptors.

Raptors-Clippers Preview

With a Los Angeles matchup looming, the Clippers are hoping to get healthier soon. They might be able to manage without Chris Paul and Caron Butler, though, if they aren't available for a visit from the struggling Toronto Raptors on Sunday. Paul has missed the past four contests with a strained left hamstring and Caron Butler was a late scratch from Friday's game against...

Hornets closing in on Eric Gordon extension?

When the Hornets traded Chris Paul for multiple players including Eric Gordon, there was a concern that due to their rebuilding process, Gordon may not be willing to spend his years in the Big Easy wasting away through a lottery reconstruction. Gordon is entering restricted free agency, after all, and a signing of the qualifying…

Video: Chauncey Billups Hits Game-Winning Three vs Mavs

With Chris Paul in street clothes, Vinny Del Negro entrusted Chauncey Billups with the Clippers’ final possession last night, and Billups lived up to his nickame of “Mr. Big Shot” for one night anyway. Must suck for the Dallas Mavericks to lose back-to-back games thanks to clutch shots by Derek Fisher and Chauncey Billups.

Mavericks-Jazz Preview

Since the start of 2012, no team has a better record than the Utah Jazz. While much of their success has come at the expense of lesser opponents, they're starting to prove they can also beat some contenders. The surprising Jazz look to add the defending champion Dallas Mavericks to their list of victims Thursday night in Salt Lake City. Utah (9-4) has won eight of nine since...
