Found February 12, 2013 on Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
Bobcats fans seem like a decent bunch.  They are sticking with their team through all the lean years, which says a lot.   They also felt bad when Barbosa went down unlike several other teams whose fans would be cheering (or wishing for) an injury on the Celtics.   While I hate to lose any game, this one wasn't too bad.  They were competitive right to the end in spite of playing a triple OT game the night before and then had to travel.  And the Bobcats always play hard.  The kitty gif really didn't have anything to do with the game but I just love it.    Enjoy the comments.  Hopefully they are knackered after their triple OT game. We really, really, really need a win. crazy how well they are playing with out Rondo, maybe he will be the next Rudy Gay haha Boston could've played us tonight right behind the triple OT and still won. The Celtics are currently one of the hottest teams in the league and are playing a lot better as a whole now that ball movement isn't so much Rondo-centric because they're putting the ball in their true best playmaker's hands, Paul Pierce. They're deep enough to rest Garnett and Pierce by holding them to about 25 minutes and still beat us. Heinsohn sounds drunk The atmosphere in TWC arena is depressing. Middle school bball games have more energy in the gym than this. With them coming off a 3OT game if we push the ball we got a shot. It doesn't matter Boston is just a flat out better team. KG just toyed with Biz. It's expected lol Future HoFer Biz and Mully are not a bad duo if they both improve. Mully on D and Biz on Offense. Put them together and you got a all star lol Neither of them would start on a good team Isnt Gordon supposed to save stupid turnoverrs for the 4th quarters? Oh god. Celtics fans litter the crowd like the Lakers did. GORDON GO HOME I wouldn't trade Sessions, either Unless it’s for a big man that can ball. If Josh Smith could fit in anywhere, it could be with Kemba Walker He wants 16+ mil a year HELL TO THE NO Green is so damn overpayed He’s a middling talent who makes 9 mil a year. What position does Ben Gordon play? Turnover specialist MKG blocked by a geriatric. Beautiful execution.... We look like the The spurs can do it for 4 quarters then we can do it for 4 mins I hate the Bobcat "home" crowd Jason Collins. Where the hell did he come from I hate that we make very average players like Green look half way decent. Jeff green is a super scrub I've been a fan of him since his rookie year. Seen an article about Boston having “buyers remorse” over the contract they gave him, but he, along with Bradley, Rondo, and Sullinger should all be integral pieces of the new Celtics once they decide to break the group up. Jeff Green is looking like LeBron James against us and Chris Wilcox is looking like Blake Griffin against us. Let's just say we bring out the best in players. I still don't think Avery Bradley can be a legitimate SG. He’s a generous 6’2, I don’t know, just seems a little too small. From an outsiders view, I think the Celtics would be better off seeing what they can get for him. If they could get a first and a solid player, I think it’s a no-brainer. He's a top tier perimeter defender We don't get foul calls. Just doesn’t happen Charlotte players getting chippy with KG I would imagine it's warranted. Kemba's gotta do that, he must attack when the refs are so giving Paul pierce is the master of ticky tack fouls And tack ticky fouls And tick tacky fouls And tick tack tacky tack fouls And whining. Lol. Helluva player though. We should change MKG's nickname to SMH... How is Pierce sliding through the key on his back a no call? How the hell can a ref look right at that play and not call a travel? Do Pierce/Garnett whinge about EVERY call against them. Bradley is a defensive beast Just how many Lakers, Heat, and Celtics fans are there in Charlotte? I mean damn Push the tempo they are tired KG calls foul Gets foul. Ball don’t lie. Missed both FT’s So is there anyone left on the planet besides Boston fans that likes KG? Paul Pierce Passes out of a shot better than anyone in the NBA except maybe Lebron… Byron is completely embarrassing KG. Kevin Garnett Is gonna break out the racial slurs in a minute The Bobcats are The most competitive noncompetitive team in the NBA Paul Pierce is soooo tired. I’d attack him as long as he remains in the game. Its about time for dunlap to go small with Gordon to key that Boston run. WOW! Wilcox is still in the league? I hope Barbosa is ok Always hate to see a player go down. The thing I like about Boston, is that it seems like everyone is so old that the wheels could come off at any moment. And yet, they haven’t….. Yet. They are like a vintage Mercedes that no one has changed the oil in for 3 years and the engine is getting ready to fall apart. I feel bad for barbosa, hope he comes back As Barbosa is being carried off the court, you could hear someone say "Ya aright?" Get well soon barbosa Haywood does intentional fouls for no reason sometimes. sometimes you just have to hit people. Haywood looks like he is trying to take an outdoors dump when he shoots fts. Damnnnnn Wtf is Charlotte doing? Trying to win this!? No worries my friend 10 minutes left to let the Celtics go on a run Ben Gordon operating off the dribble... The Turnoverminator strikes again, That was all caused by Ben Gordon’s ineptitude. After watching Chris Herrens 30/30 documentary on Netflix the other night I'm convinced that Ben Gordon is a drug addict. There is no other explanation for the idiotic plays he makes atleast twice a game Our crowd is worst in NBA Super bandwagony fans Does anyone remember When everyone thought Boston would be better with Brandon Bass? Maybe They run team offence, we watch a player go into superman mode. Mully with KG in his grill for the next 7 minutes is a tough ask. Hendo Has that Kobe look… If only he had that Kobe game New NBA rules Kemba Walker’s head is now part of the ball The Celtics Are terrible at shooting ft’s (luckily) *** "lets go Celtics" chant Kemba fouled someone with his eye Kemba did get bailed out a bit He flopped and then got hit in the eye Jason Terry is so clutch lol. What does Kemba have to do to get a call? No death no foul If Kemba got the calls Dwyane Wade got, he would average 25 a game. Not even kidding. Avery Bradley is trash. Undersized. Can't shoot. Can't create off the dribble. Bradley's defensive strategy on Kemba: Damn good d biz @$*$ better shot kg Sessions guarding pierce, works about as well as sessions guarding Kobe. Midget problems. Kemba was thrown to the floor. The refs can't bare to watch us win. Celtics are playing some nasty defense. KG with two tough shots. Gotta be impressed. DO NOT LET JASON TERRY GET THE BALL Crowd actually cheering for the Bobcats. Yeah I know there are plenty of Celtics fans in the stands, but once we start winning WE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Queue the overreaction And panic from the Boston media Boston media does not give any credit to the Bobcats…this is why I hate Boston’s team With a lot of hard work, this Garnett kid could become a sort of Byron Mullens-lite some day. I think garnett has a promising future in this league And he's only 37 Nice game. Makes it even sweeter against Pierce, KG, and the Celts announcers Celtics fans pissed at Doc for playing Green only 24 minutes. Fair complaint, he was giving us fits. Scored 18 points. Great game. I had to mute my stream for a while because I can't take that the home crowd seemed predominantly Celtics fans. But I'm glad the Bobcats fans became loud towards the end. [Discuss on CG Forums!]

Don't be shocked if Paul Pierce is added to the All-Star team

Paul Pierce wasn't picked as a reserve for the 2013 All-Star game, nor was he picked as a replacement to fill Rajon Rondo's vacant spot. This despite the fact that Pierce's numbers are remarkably similar to his his stats in previous All-Star seasons. Pierce has been on fire lately (A couple huge triple doubles included) and it appears there might be an All-Star roster...

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Lead Celtics Into West Coast Adventure

With a five-game West Coast swing on...

Paul Pierce, Celtics Must Borrow From Nuggets’ Style While Keeping Own Late-Game Mentality

BOSTON — Andre Miller, a veteran of 14 seasons and more than a thousand games in the NBA, summed it up best. “I think everybody played like they wanted to go home,” he said. Miller and the Nuggets came out on the losing end of a triple-overtime battle on Sunday in the battle of the two hottest teams in the NBA. The Celtics’ survived, extending their win streak to seven games...

Your Morning Dump… Where Doc will watch the minutes tonight

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. If Celtics coach Doc Rivers elected to give Pierce and Garnett a night off when the team travels to Charlotte for the tail end of a back-to-back on Monday, he could be forgiven (heck, with no national TV broadcast...

Rondo still Celtics leader while injured

Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo may be out for the season with a torn ACL, but that doesn't mean he's gonna just sit at home. Rondo has stay involved with the Celtics,

Celtics-Bobcats Live: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Try to Keep Win Streak Going Despite Weary Legs

11 a.m. ET: Just when it seemed like things could not get any weirder for the Celtics, they upped the ante. Fresh off a two-day break thanks to the weekend’s snowstorm, the Celtics survived a three-overtime slugfest with the Nuggets on Sunday. They then promptly hit the road for a matchup in Charlotte on Monday night. If the Celtics (27-23) have anything left in the tank, they...

Celtics Streak Ends in Loss to Bobcats 94-91

On Monday night the Celtics were in Charlotte for their second of back-to-back games. The Celtics extended their win streak to 7 on Sunday in a triple overtime victory against the Nuggets. Looking ahead many saw this game as an easy win but that changed drastically after the three overtime game Sunday. The Celtics ran out of gas in the fourth and fell victim to the trap game 94-91...

The Celtics aren’t better without Rondo, just more sure

Paul Pierce and the Celtics have had a chance to show their toughness with Rondo out The Boston Celtics won their seventh straight game Sunday, this one a triple overtime epic against the Denver Nuggets. Bobcats 94, Celtics 91: Win streak ends, Barbosa might be out for season

Clearly, that was how the winning streak was meant to end, at the hands of the Charlotte Bobcats, with Byron Mullens feigning dominance, after a final-minute four-point lead disappeared and Ramon Sessions hit a game-winning jumper and Paul Pierce — who clearly, in all his OG-ness, would have drilled that 3-pointer Sunday night — came up short while Avery Bradley missed Boston’s...

Your Morning Dump… Where this will be KG’s last All-Star dance

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Kevin Garnett said last night that his 14th All-Star Game appearance on Sunday in Houston will also be his last, though the Celtics forward stopped short of saying he was retiring at the end of the season. Garnett...

3 OT Effort Lifts Celtics To 7th Straight Win

The Celtics needed three overtimes, but managed to get their seventh win in a row, with a 118-114 victory over the Denver Nuggets at the TD Garden. Denver had come into the game having won nine in a row themselves. The Celtics were paced by the “old” guys, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry, who all logged big minutes, and the Celtics play on the road in Charlotte tonight...

Boston Celtics beat Chicago Bulls by using same pick-and-roll set on consecutive possessions.

Defense ruled the day, but it was Boston's offense that sealed the game down the stretch. In last night’s nail-biter against Chicago, points were predictably at a premium between two very talented, very defense-oriented teams. So when the Celtics were able to produce field goals on three consecutive possessions late in the fourth quarter, giving themselves a lead they would...
