I remember when Raptors game threads were had over a hundred pages each. Now, it's more like in the teens. It was hilarious that they were actually cheering for the Celtics because a win would be a set back to their ping pong ball total. Comments after losses usually aren't much fun but these are hilarious as the Raptor fans cheer for the Celtics and get mad when they lose. Enjoy.... Groan. Holiday for the Celtics. We'll probably get bullied and beaten silly by Boston as usual. Tank is on a set course Just looking at Bradley- the kid might be the best perimeter defender in the league. I mean he's done some incredible things this season on that end of the floor. Best perimeter defender in the league? I think some Heinsohn homerism has been implanted on the Celtic fanbase. Auctally it was Van Gundy who said it, during the BOS, Chi game. For those who haven't seen him it's really true. Bradley's had some eye-popping games this season including...

Ray Allen doubtful to return to the Celtics on Saturday against New Jersey

This news comes on the heels of hearing that Allen didn't make the trip to Toronto for tonight's game against the Raptors. Some thought that this might have been Doc Rivers' way of resting some of his veterans during this brutal back-to-back-to-back. Let Ray have the first game off, rest up and throw him out there for a normal back-to-back scenario. That's...

Celtics 94, Nets 82: A rebound victory for the Celtics

The Boston Celtics arrived at the Prudential Center 60 minutes before their game with the New Jersey Nets, almost as if they were readying for an AAU game rather than an actual Atlantic Division competition. Regardless of how little time their 86-minute bus ride afforded them during pregame at the Prudential Center, the Celtics took care of business against their latest sub-.500...

Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo Play More Minutes Than Ideal in Toronto to Begin Road Trip

Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo know the deal. They are professional athletes, expected to go full-bore whenever the clock is running, and their legs are not going to fall off just because they played a few extra plays. Their bodies can only take so much wear, though, and the Celtics' 84-79 defeat in Toronto on Friday forced them to play more minutes than would have been ideal in...

Rajon Rondo Recovers From Turnover-Prone Start to Extend Assist Streak Against Nets

Asking Rajon Rondo how he feels about his turnovers is like asking a man going through a midlife crisis how he feels about the deep scratch in the side of his Corvette. The slow burn in their eyes does not do much to mask their fury over such imperfections in their works of art. As dazzling as Rondo has been in his streak of games with double-digit assists, which reached 21 when...

Garnett, Pierce don't go to Charlotte

Boston Celtics stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce did not make the trip to Charlotte, N.C., and will not play in Sunday night's game against the Bobcats. With the Celtics already having clinched a playoff spot, Celtics coach Doc Rivers decided to leave Garnett and Pierce in the New York area after Saturday night's game against the New Jersey Nets. The Celtics have a game...

Report: Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen Out for Celtics Sunday Against Bobcats

The Celtics will be Big Three-free Sunday against the Bobcats. Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce did not accompany the team to Charlotte, Celtics radio broadcaster Sean Grande reports. Ray Allen was already expected to miss the game with swelling in his right ankle, so Celtics coach Doc Rivers will have a very thin bench. Fortunately for the Celtics, a sparse crew may be enough against...

Raptors PG Calderon to sit out again

Toronto Raptors point guard Jose Calderon will miss his second straight game Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks. Calderon also did not play in Friday's game as a precautionary reason to allow his stitched-up eye to heal. He was hurt in Wednesday's loss to New Jersey when he was elbowed in the face. Calderon is averaging 10.5 points and 8.8 assists this season.

Celtics' "Big Three" could sit vs. Bobcats Sunday

Boston Celtics veteran forward Kevin Garnett could get the night off when his team faces the Charlotte Bobcats Sunday.Garnett, along with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen, could watch the game from the sidelines. Head coach Doc Rivers has talked to his veterans about rest before the postseason begins and Sunday’s contest with the 7-51 Bobcats could be the best spot.Pierce is expected...

Hawks fall flat in home loss to Raptors

ATLANTA (AP) -- DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points and the injury-riddled Toronto Raptors beat the Atlanta Hawks 102-86 on Sunday night for their second straight win over a playoff-bound team. Alan Anderson, one of three Toronto players whose 10-day contract is about to expire, added 16 points for the Raptors, who were coming off an 84-79 win against Boston on Friday. Toronto, bound...

Celtics 94, Bobcats 82

Rajon Rondo had 20 points and 16 assists to help the Boston Celtics beat the Charlotte Bobcats 94-82 Sunday night despite playing without three of their star players. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen were given the night off to rest and did not make the trip to Charlotte, N.C. to face the NBA-worst Bobcats. But the Celtics won anyway as Aaron Bradley and Brandon Bass each...

Celtics 94, Bobcats 82: And those are the Charlotte Bobcats

The moral of the story: The Charlotte Bobcats are one of the worst NBA teams in history, and the Celtics — even without any of their three surefire Hall of Famers — aren’t.I haven’t watched the game yet due to outside work obligations, but when I get to it late tonight I look forward to observing the continued development of Avery Bradley’s offensive game.

Comments from the other side - Bobcats 4/15

Gotta feel for Bobcats fans.   No talk of tanking here.  Forget ping pong balls, they just want a win.  Any win.  Just not to be the worst team in NBA history.  I think my favorite comment was this one: "Even though we're a horrible team, and we suck, atleast we're not the Kings!" with the one asking if Bass was aware that he was allowed to pass to his...
