It’s often sad when you learn things aren’t nearly as great as you thought them to be. LeBron James still has no championship ring on his finger and “Two and Half Men” without Charlie still sucks. I also learned last evening that covering the National Football League Combine is no day in the park either. On our Blitzburgh Radio podcast last night Matt and I were joined by journalist Jim Wexell who was kind enough to come on with us after spending several days in Indianapolis covering the combine in what can only be described as All-Access ‘lite’. First, Jim told us that media members are not allowed to be inside the stadium were the football players are doing their drills. This is for coaches, scouts, front office personnel etc. Journalists like him were subjected to small rooms with four or five other writers who would sit and wait for future NFL’ers to come through for a few questions. Thankfully for Jim and the writers, there were sandwiches provided. At this...

Lebron James Can't Even Finish An All-Star Game

The outcome of this video is no surprise. Lebron chokes in the 4th quarter, again.

What if Miami Heat’s LeBron James chose the New York Knicks?

Two years removed from the “Decision” and the ensuing debacle, the Miami Heat are wreaking absolute havoc through the NBA landscape. Speculative journalism is a half-witted attempt at generating interest, but with the NBA the way it is, the chain reaction of Miami Heat SF LeBron James choosing the New York Knicks would have had a drastic fallout. “What-if’s...

PEAY: LeBron, Kobe are stars in separate galaxies

ANALYSIS/OPINION: ORLANDO, Fla. — LeBron James was cast as the NBA's biggest villain last season, and he didn't like it. It affected his game, he later admitted. So James vowed he would be himself this year and let the chips fall where they may. When the Eastern Conference All-Stars were ...

LeBron James Compares His Game to Magic Johnson’s

LeBron James sees a lot of MJ in the way he plays basketball. Magic Johnson, that is. Per Yahoo! Sports: “For all his talent, James has yet to show the same type of killer mentality NBA champions like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Larry Bird owned. Bird said earlier this season that if he needed to win a game, he’d choose Bryant as a teammate over James. If he wanted to have...

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade versus Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook

Trail Blazers-Heat: Chris Bosh out; LeBron James talks up LaMarcus Aldridge (video)

Bosh will miss the Heat's next two games after a death in his family. Meanwhile, James and Dwyane Wade preview their matchup against the Blazers.

West hold on for NBA All-Star Game win

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Kobe, KD and the West looked ready to deliver a quick KO. Kevin Durant knew better. "With all these great players on the floor, you never know what will happen," Durant said. "Guys making big shots, and they cut it down to one. We were up 18." Just enough, it turned out, to hold off LeBron James and the East in the NBA All-Star game. ...

Chris Paul & Dwyane Wade’s Top 3 Plays On NBA All-Star Weekend

LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant might’ve been the headliners on this past Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game, but they weren’t the only ones putting in work. Chris Paul and Dwyane Wade did their thing as well. Perhaps they were low on the replay highlights, but each left his imprint on the game; Wade with [...]

Why the big names won’t compete in the Slam Dunk Contest

For the next few months, Sunday nights usually have me watching The Celebrity Apprentice (I don’t know why, either). I was never a fan of the original version of The Apprentice, which featured yuppies in suits vying to be a figurehead in the Trump organization, but I guess I’m drawn to the celebrity spin-off because I’m fascinated by the mix of egos and personalities of C...
