Good evening, Dribblers! It will be a short Dribbles today. Maybe there shouldn't be one at all. I mean, after all, what really happened last night anyway?

The Lakers lost. So you know I cried myself to sleep slowly while listening to Elliot Smith. But I suppose there is some sort of news out there. There are always rumors in the league, especially when it comes to the Lakers.

So why don't we start there.

According to Sherrod Blakely of CSN, the Lakers will be signing Rasheed Wallace sometime this weekend. The former Celtic has not played in a game since Game 7 of the 2010 Finals against the Lakers. Wallace appears to be in great shape, according to reports, and has had several good showings at pro-ams. (CSN)

OH BOY! I'm happy and frightened all at once. If this goes through, the only way this team could become more complex is signing Gilbert Arenas. I know this: the team will definitely be full of hi-jinx with Metta World Peace, Sheed, Matt Barnes and Andrew Bynum. Add Arenas, and that becomes interesting.  And another thing, those first four guys do not take **** from anyone. We could be looking at a potential building of a Lakers team known for their ... toughness???? Wow! This could get interesting.

Also in the rumor mill is that the Lakers are looking at Ray Felton from the Trailblazers, according to Roland Lazenby, which is weird because I thought the Lakers wanted to improve at point guard not stay sub-par. First 'Sheed then Felton? Why not go get Sean May and every other UNC draftee in the past decade on the team? Love you Mitch.

The Milwaukee Bucks say center Andrew Bogut won't need surgery on his injured left ankle.

Bucks general manager John Hammond said doctors reviewed a CT scan performed on Bogut's ankle Feb. 21 and agreed his ankle is healing properly. He is still expected to miss 8-12 weeks. (ESPN)

Guess whose fantasy team needs a center? This guy.

The Miami  Heat did what almost everyone else hasn't the past three weeks: ended Lin-Sanity for at least for a minute.

Lin's rapid rise from unknown to superstar was slowed big time Feb. 23 by the Miami Heat, who overwhelmed the NBA's hottest story with a swarming defense the Knicks' new starting point guard could not solve. (ESPN)

Rapid overreaction to Lin's one bad game in 3 ... 2 ... 1

Oh, not from me, from you. I'm fine with it. I'm not an idiot. I didn't think he would be perfect the rest of the way out.

Speaking of Jeremy Lin, it appears Ben & Jerry's caught Lin-Sanity.

The gourmet ice cream makers have created a new flavor called "Taste the Lin-Sanity," which is being sold in the Boston area.

"The treat's ingredients include vanilla frozen yogurt and lychee honey swirls, though the sports blog Deadspin reports that the flavor previously included bits of fortune cookie." (Chicago Tribune)

And that's it for tonight folks. You should already be enjoying the celebrity game, and then the Rising Stars game will be up after that. As you all know, I love you, but I gotta get my basketball fix in. Seriously, I'm in withdrawal already. You all have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday.

Have a good one!
