"Sessions drives around a near Collison for score"For a number of reasons, I had to miss the season opener so this was my first chance to see our new “Tougher, Faster, Stronger” Bobcats in action. I knew two things before I even settled into my chair. First, it was going to take more than a flashy slogan for the Cats to get their first-ever victory against the Dallas Mavericks and second, this was a Bobcats unit far improved from the squad that limped off the court at the end of last season.   As the game began the Bobcats appeared a bit slow and sluggish. Mavericks just play ball in win over Portland

DALLAS The uniforms could have been switched Monday night at American Airlines Center for more than three quarters and folks might not have noticed. The Blazers do a pretty passable Mavericks' impression, and it's by design. The teams share a common ancestry. First-year Blazers coach Terry Stotts spent the last four years on Rick Carlisle's staff in Dallas. Stotts called...

Mayo leads Mavericks to win over Blazers

DALLAS It's been more than four years since O.J. Mayo has scored 30 points in back-to-back NBA games. But he's now done it in two consecutive outings for his new Dallas Mavericks team, performances that allow the birthday boy in Monday's 114-91 victory over the visiting Trailblazers to stake his claim as the franchise's Robin. With 32 points on his 25th birthday...

Mark Cuban heckled Brendon Haywood every time he took a shot during Mavs-Bobcats game

This is not the first time we’ve heard of a NBA owner heckling a player from the crowd. And unlike Donald Sterling heckling his own players, this story is rather amusing. During Sunday’s Mavericks-Bobcats game, former Mav Brendon Haywood was busy having a pretty decent game while dealing with hecklers in the crowd. Haywood was feeling so good about his game that he was even going...

Dallas Mavericks Hosts The Charlotte Bobcats Tonight With Home Opener

Ok, the Dallas Mavericks opened the 2012-2013 season with a great victory over the heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers and looked pretty darned good when they did it, but then they travel to Utah to face the Jazz and, well let’s just say we didn’t start the season 2-0. But all was not really lost; you have to understand that this team is still acquiring players and those that...
