Oregon Sports News:
The General Manager position for the Trailblazers has been open since November, and now it seems to look like the search has been narrowed to two big names. Danny Ainge and Steve Kerr are the names that have popped up for the position, and I think personally Ainge would be a better hire than Kerr. Ainge would help rebuild Rip City through the draft and free agency the same way he operates for Boston.
Portland owner Paul Allen is known to make big name moves when picking a coach or a general manager, basically the same way he does with the other team Allen owns, The Seattle Seahawks. Due to history, I think it will be a close race for the job, as both have ties to the blazers. Both men played for the club, and it doesn’t get much more intimate than that.
The rumor is that Kerr, now with TNT, has said that “he wants more time with his family”, same old story. Didn’t Brett Favre and Roger Clemens use the family as a tool to resign his name from the family card? Or perhaps it’s...

The Celtics are just beginning the "daunting" part of their schedule, or as I like to call it, the "fun" part.
Rajon Rondo started off April with a bang. His 18th career triple double was only fooling Miami yesterday as he notched 16 points, 11 rebounds, 14 assists with only 2 turnovers.
Rondo has just been on a tear since the All-star break, consistently...
"You can see, moving around, he's just not ready to play. He literally can't play." -- Rivers on Allen.

That is not very encouraging news as Ray Allen misses yet another game due to his ankle issues.
At this point, I'm not sure whether I should be encouraged that he is constantly a game time decision or...
Well this should make for a couple interesting days in the Celtics locker room. Today the Celtics face the Heat, which is obviously a big deal for all the C's, but tomorrow's NCAA National Championship game is also pretty huge for at least two Celtics. Rajon Rondo's twitter background has been all about Kentucky of late and Pierce took to twitter last night to start...
If my calculations are correct, Pierce averaged 25.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals this week, while being overlooked by fans in favor of heaping praise on Kevin Garnett and/or Rajon Rondo approximately 15,398,387 times. (Note: Don’t take that as an insult to KG or Rondo. Both deserve all the praise they’ve gotten, just like Pierce deserves a lot more praise...
Watch how he darts into the paint. How his teammates suddenly find themselves open for easy looks. How his team’s offense occasionally transforms from the league’s 25th-most efficient unit into a beautiful wave of uncontested jump shots and daring dashes to the hoop.Check how Rajon Rondo sometimes takes the Boston Celtics and lifts them to a level they couldn’t achieve without...
I’ll admit. I was nervous. Having the #2-seed in the Eastern Conference coming to play this older Celtics squad made me a bit queasy. Then I remembered that the game was at the Garden and it was a nationally-televised game, also known as Rajon Rondo’s time to shine. The C’s point guard puts up ridiculous numbers in nationally-televised Celtics games at the Garden, and yesterday...

"We have been a horrendous team going to the line, for the most part, where as in the past we’ve been very good at it," admitted Rivers. "[Pierce is] the guy. [Point guard Rajon] Rondo doesn’t get to the line as much as we’d like, so we need someone to go to the line. Kevin...
The Boston Celtics defeated the Minnesota Timerwolves last night, 100-79, and with that win combined with a Philadelphia 76ers loss to the Washington Wizards, the Celtics have moved into first place in the Atlantic Division. Kevin Garnett led the team with 24 points, and Paul Pierce threw in 21. Rajon Rondo had 17 assists [...]

Ray Allen is no longer a game-time decision according to Sean Grande of WEEI -- he will not play today against the Miami Heat.
Ray Allen out again today. (Try and act surprised when others tweet it later). Celtics-Heat together again, 3pm WEEI/http://t.co/JZzYNPmk— Sean Grande (@SeanGrandePBP) April 1, 2012
Don't look now, but the Boston Celtics have been creeping up the standings in the Eastern Conference. Last night, the C's quite arguably had their most impressive win on the season with a 91-72 blowout victory over the Miami Heat. Boston was in control from the start thanks to a brilliant first quarter from Rajon Rondo. After leading by 5 at the half, the Celtics...
