During the Sacramento Kings’ 105-100 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, DeMarcus Cousins was on the receiving end of a pretty egregious fist to the crotch from Hawks rookie Dennis Schröder as he set a pick for point guard Isaiah Thomas. If I’ve learned anything over the years of watching the NBA, getting hit in the groin isn’t pleasant experience and last, Kings center DeMarcus Cousins took a pretty good shot to man region.
It happened against the Atlanta Hawks and guard Dennis Schroeder was trying to set some form of pick.
I’m not sure where the groin shot comes in but what I am to judge:
Watch Atlanta rookie, Dennis Schroder, deliver what looks to be a very painful low blow to DeMarcus Cousins during Tuesday night’s Kings-Hawks game.
This is what Cousins had to say about the low blow following the 105-100 loss, via Cowbell Kingdom:
“I took a cheap shot to my lower area,” Cousins told reporters from his locker after the game. “They (the refs) just blew it...

The suspension was announced by Rod Thorn, the NBA's president of basketball operations. Schroder will sit out Thursday night's game in Denver against the Nuggets.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. --Al Horford had 27 points and 10 rebounds, Paul Millsap had 25 points and 11 rebounds and the Atlanta Hawks held off the Sacramento Kings for a 105-100 victory on Tuesday night.
The Hawks (2-2) led by 17 points going into the fourth quarter but the Kings cut it to three with 32 seconds left. Isaiah Thomas had a chance to tie it with 3 second left but missed a...
It is hard to even say that Sacramento Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins was hit with a low blow by Atlanta Hawks’ Dennis Schröder, because this incident seems more like a OTPHJ (Over-the-Pants-Hand-Job). Who holds on for that long?
I don’t know how they play in German, Schroder, but if your finger ends up with poop on it…you’ve crossed the line.
Schroder was suspended one...
The Sacramento Kings have been encouraged by the progress of Ben McLemore.
McLemore most recently had 19 points against the Warriors.
McLemore is earning a reputation as a hard worker and a committed defensive player.
"He's done everything we've asked," Mike Malone said. "And what I told him after practice was I love his work ethic and the work habits that...
The Sacramento Kings are only a handful of games into the regular season, but DeMarcus Cousins has already earned himself his first benching of the year. On Tuesday night, Cousins was angry after Atlanta Hawks rookie Dennis Schroder hit him below the waist while running through a screen. Cousins bent over to try to get […]
Atlanta Hawks guard Jeff Teague returned last night from a sprained ankle and scored 18 points, added 10 assists and two steals. He was also 6 for 12 shooting on 3-pointers.
As reported at rotoworld.com, Teague had his ankle re-taped and he looked fluid in his return to the court. They key will be to see how his ankle feels today. If Teague can remain healthy, backup Dennis...
The Atlanta Hawks decided to get inventive when they made their new fan conduct video. According to Jocksandstilettojill.com the Hawks went straight to the catchiest song of the summer, Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke, and spoofed it the way only sports organizations know how to.
What did we learn from this video? Atlanta DJ Ryan Cameron, who is the voice of the Hawks, cannot sing...
The Atlanta Hawks will use rotating captains for the team this season.
According to the Hawks, the details of the new system will be kept "in house."
Al Horford is entering his seventh season with the Hawks, while Jeff Teague is in his fifth year with the organization.
Atlanta Hawks guard Dennis Schroder has been suspended for one game without pay for striking DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings in the groin.
The incident occurred with 9:54 remaining in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's 105-100 win over Sacramento on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Sleep Train Arena.
Schroder will serve his suspension Thursday when the Hawks visit the Denver Nuggets.
I’ve got a little story to tell you today. I think I’ll call it a parable. Here it goes… A few days ago I was at the gas station and I was approached by a guy who claimed he couldn’t afford gas to get home. If you have ever seen a meth addict in their 20′s it isn’t a pretty sight. He was packing something into his cigarette and I didn’t stop to question what...
The Atlanta Hawks have historically struggled to win in Denver. But with the Nuggets on the brink of their worst start in 15 years, the Hawks could be poised for a rare victory there.
Atlanta tries to avoid a seventh consecutive road loss to the Nuggets on Thursday night.
The Hawks (2-2) are 11-28 all-time at Denver, losing all six trips since a 98-96 victory Dec. 6, 2006. They...
Drunken Chicago hockey fans take Adam Pardy’s helmet and pour a beer on him after he goes through the glass. Classy Chicago.
Nuggets hold on for Shaw's first
Nuggets 109, Hawks 107
Rookie Dennis Schroeder got a tough and expensive lesson Wednesday. He had to sit in the hotel and watch the Hawks take on the Nuggets after the NBA handed down a suspension for his hit on DeMarcus Cousins' lower region that was not called a foul during the game Monday.
