In the post-game after a 94-82 loss at the hand of the surging Boston Celtics, New Jersey Net star point guard Deron Williams was asked about the struggles of the Wizards’ John Wall, and Williams didn’t exactly have the best things to say about Wall’s supporting cast.
Colin Stephenson of the Newark Star-Ledger has the tweet:
Deron on John Wall: “He’s had a tough cast down there. I don’t want to put anybody down, but he’s not playing with the smartest guys.”

It’s not as if Deron is exactly breaking news here, but it is always interesting when you’ve built that sort of reputation as a team to the point that other players are coming out in the media to mention your incompetence. Deron has never been shy about expressing himself, and is always quite candid when answering questions. Mind you, he is saying this AFTER the Wizards traded away Javale Mcgee, who was always known for at least one “what in the world was he thinking?” play a game during his tenure with Washington.
