Derrick Rose is on the comeback trail, and he can’t return fast enough as far as the Chicago Bulls are concerned.
Despite competing as a top team in the Eastern Conference through the early part of the season, Tom Thibodeau‘s squad has fallen on hard times as of late and it’s obvious to see how much the team misses its All-Star point guard.
While Rose has stated that he won’t play again until he’s completely healthy, if he does make it back in time for the playoffs, Chicago all of a sudden becomes a much more dangerous squad.
The Bulls aren’t the only team hoping to round into shape in time for the postseason, though. With the trade deadline passed, the Celtics are also looking to finally stabilize themselves and figure out how they can still contend in the East without Rajon Rondo. While the C’s have shown flashes since their star point guard went down, the lack of any big moves before last week’s deadline could give the team a green light to finally focus on the games — and not any more trade rumors.
NESN.com NBA writer Ben Watanabe joined NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette on the podcast Tuesday to discuss the Celtics’ new look, how the Bulls will be with or without Rose and much more.
