Some people forget all about bad blood when they are chasing a ring. DeShawn Stevenson and Heat star LeBron James had major beef back in 2008 when they were rivals for the Wizards and Cavaliers. When can all assume the beef was one-sided though, because what has DeShawn Stevenson ever done, that would remotely get LeBron’s attention. Almost six years later, Stevenson is chasing a ring, and obviously knows who to go to if you want one.  Stevenson took to Twitter to appeal to LeBron and the Heat. Miami Heat Where I Wanna Go!!! Lebron Make it Happen — dsteve92 & JMarie (@DSteve92JMarie) August 4, 2013 Wanna sign in Miami heat — dsteve92 & JMarie (@DSteve92JMarie) August 4, 2013 At this stage of his career, I’m not even sure Stevenson has enough left to warrant LeBron and the Heat taking him seriously.

Greg Oden regenerates the Heat

A couple weeks ago, I wrote an article about Greg Oden and the impact he could make as a healthier player (he likely won’t be anything near what he would have been).  I had suggested some possible teams that would benefit from signing Greg Oden since it was a low risk-high reward situation.  The Miami Heat was the first team I brought up, and the Miami Heat it will be. The one...

Miami Heat: Greg Oden Signing Grade

Miami Heat: Greg Oden Signing Grade Josh Morgan: Hoopstuff Writer… Contract: 2 years for 2.5 million, with the second year a player option This signing is a speculative, albeit good one by the Heat. The speculation comes in terms of Oden’s health. Coming off of his third micro-fracture knee surgery, Oden is fragile at best. However, he is only 25 and could still have good years...

Report: Heat to sign Greg Oden

Greg Oden is coming back to the NBA with the Miami Heat. Mike Conley Sr., one of Oden's agents, said Oden has informed the Heat that he will accept their contract offer, a process that will likely be formally completed early next week. Oden will sign a contract that will pay him about $1 million this coming season. He will have a player option for the 2014-15 season. '...

Hawks Waive DeShawn Stevenson

The Atlanta Hawks have waived DeShawn Stevenson to clear a roster spot for DeMarre Carroll. Carroll agreed to terms with the Hawks nearly a month ago on a two-year, $5 million contract.

Miami Heat recruited Greg Oden with dinner at Chili’s

Greg Oden has decided to sign with the Miami Heat, giving the two-time defending champs an interesting wild card as they look to make it three titles in a row. Oden is a former No. 1 overall pick who can give them the defensive presence in the middle, but the guy has not played in [...]

LeBron Vents On Facebook About Being In The Spotlight

LeBron James is a star recognized globally, so it should be no surprise to him that he can’t go anywhere without being recognized. it appears that James must have an enjoyable evening interrupted by fan or thrill seekers, because he took to Facebook to vent about it. Man it’s hard to go out and have a good time these days! It’s cool though, it’s part of my life. Wouldn...

Miami Heat add Greg Oden in free agency

Multiple reports on Friday night confirmed that the Miami Heat have signed the oft-injured Greg Oden to a two-year deal. Year two of the contract is a player option. Oden, who was drafted No. 1 overall in 2007 by the Portland Trailblazers, never developed into the dominant center many believed he would be in the NBA. Towering at seven feet, the Ohio State product has suffered through...

With options limited, Oden makes his way to Miami

Sources close to the situation say the Cleveland Cavaliers were likely Greg Odens first choice. But the Cavs went with Andrew Bynum instead, giving Oden a reason to look elsewhere. Oden is a 7-footer who played collegiately at Ohio State and was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. Three microfracture knee surgeries later, he signed a free-agent contract with...

Greg Oden signs who knows if he actually plays

Greg Oden is now a member of the Miami Heat but the question is will he ever play for them? Oden hasn’t appeared in a NBA game since 2009 and has had numerous failed comeback attempts. Will he fail again? No one knows not even himself which is why he signed with the Heat. Out of all potential suitors Miami was the one team who didn’t really need him, especially early in the...

Greg Oden joining Miami Heat

Former top overall pick Greg Oden will be joining the Miami Heat next season as he attempts to come back from his debilitating knee injuries that have forced him to the sideline for much of his career and have kept him out of the NBA since 2010. In Oden, the Heat get a big center to fill a need in the post. Miami has survived on small ball, but were exposed some in the Playoffs...
