Life is Just a Fantasy ... Basketball...:
Thomas Robinson's path to a starting job may not be as easy as first thought. Rookie Donatas Motiejunas got his first start, played 26 minutes and posted a nice stat line: 13 points (4-of-9 field goals and 4-of-4 free throws), a three, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal.
Motiejunas did something Robinson couldn't -- stretch the floor (a not-so-secret weakness Zach Lowe points out in this Grantland feature). T-Rob played eight minutes in his debut, scoring two points, grabbing a rebound and handing out an assist.
Motiejunas may end up being the guy to own here (owned in 4 percent of Yahoo leagues), although I'd wait until he strings together a few games. This was the best game of his early NBA career, but he's shown flashes. He just hadn't gotten an opportunity until tonight.
Don't count out Robinson (owned in 30 percent of leagues) just yet. He's still getting acquainted with the Rockets' system.

I admit I didn´t really know much about Donatas Motiejunas two weeks ago. Hell, nobdy knew much about him except his mother and the 3 members of his fan club but I read up on him and now I know lots of stuff! For starters, he´s just 22 years old and was born in Lithuania. He´s also really, really tall. Like 7´0 tall! That´s pretty damn tall! He´s also Houston´s new starting...

The Houston Rockets are having a solid season. Since the addition of Jeremy Lin and James Harden to the roster, the Rockets have caught the eye of many NBA fans. Also in the mix is 2nd year star Chandler Parsons, who is averaging almost 15 pts a game. Check out the Rockets players making it a guy’s night out. Good thing Harden wasn’t around, or...
HOUSTON Wednesday the Houston Rockets played in the kind of game they have to win if the goal is to make the playoffs, as it appears to be. It was at home against the perfectly middling Milwaukee Bucks, and the Rockets were trying out a new rotation.
The starting power forward, now, is second-year Lituanian Donatas Motiejunas, who stands 7-feet, weighs 222 pounds and was the 20th...
James Harden has become almost as well known for his beard as he is for is All-Star play for the Houston Rockets.
Harden had a trimmed beard during his two seasons in college at Arizona State from 2007-2009, and then he began growing it out while he was with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The beard has been featured in fruit displays and on buildings. It’s gotten so out of hand that...
It wouldn't be a week here on That NBA Lottery Pick without a moment from Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin and earlier tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks, he had a pretty assist. After Lin got a steal off a bad pass by the Bucks, he found Chandler Parsons in transition with a behind-the-back fast break assist:

James Harden is having an MVP type season. The Houston Rockets all-star is most definitely a franchise player, and judging by the looks of this girl, he’s doing great work off the court too. This could just push him into the MVP conversation.-TO

LeRoyMcConnell III Houston Rockets fans hoped for a defensive stop and a chance to see extended play in the Bucks/Rockets game. Monte Ellis had a different script as he pulls up for a 25 foot jumper, off one leg, fading away from the rim and with the help from a shooter’s roll, for the game winner in a 110-107 thriller on Wednesday night in Houston.
Clinging to the Western Conference's final playoff spot, the Houston Rockets know they must capitalize on prime opportunities to pick up victories.
Houston seeks a sixth straight home win while avoiding a second consecutive loss to a sub-.500 opponent as it hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
The Rockets (31-27) lead the ninth-place Los Angeles Lakers by three games...
As a Houston Rockets fan this one kind of sucks, but as a fan of the game I have to appreciate the fact that this shot actually went in giving the Bucks the win over Houston Wednesday night, 110-107.
Good job Monta Ellis. Good job.
Tweet In a battle of teams who currently hold the eighth spot in their respective conferences, the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Houston Rockets 110-107 Wednesday thanks to one of the craziest game-winning shots you’ll see this season. It wasn’t the best looking end-of-game possession you’re going to see, but the two guys you figured [...]
The Houston Rockets are looking to put a couple of disappointing losses behind them.
Doing so, however, could prove more difficult than usual with their star-studded backcourt banged up.
James Harden and Jeremy Lin are considered game-time decisions for Friday night's road matchup against the woeful Orlando Magic.
The Rockets (31-28) blew 17-point leads in each of their last...
HOUSTON - Going back to Houston, Texas over a week ago on All-Star Saturday night in the Toyota Center, there sat Houston Rockets legendary player and coach, Rudy Tomjanovich.
Along with Yao Ming, Clyde Drexler, and a few other former NBA players, Tomjanovich was answering questions with the media that Saturday night following the All-Star events.
With the opportunity...
Milwaukee Bucks guard Monta Ellis nailed a game winning three pointer at the buzzer Wednesday night against the Houston Rockets. Reminded me of pretty much every three pointer Reggie Miller took with his fade away style.

Bucks 110 Rockets 107 Wow. Since the All Star break, practically every contest has come down to the wire; the Bucks have been on the wrong side of the final tally. The last three have been decided by less than three points. Against Houston, the Bucks finally came out on top with a [...]
