The New York Knicks staved off elimination with a Game 4 win over the Miami Heat but also lost point guard Baron Davis to a horrific knee injury. To add insult to injury, the Knicks also lost Iman Shumpert to injury earlier in the playoff series as well thus depleting their guard corp.

However, with New York looking for some help at the point-guard spot, some point to Jeremy Lin as possibly suiting up against the Heat tonight for Game 5. Well do not hold your breath.

Lin (who has been sidelined with a left knee injury) is still not healthy enough to make a return to the court (after undergoing surgery) versus the Heat according to head coach Mike Woodson.

Woodson said doctors do not believe Lin's knee is healthy enough for game action, even if the Knicks can win Games 5 and 6 to extend the series to a seventh game on Sunday.

There was a glimmer of hope for the Knicks when Jeremy had recently been on the court, working out and seemingly healthy enough to return to the court.

Regardless, with the series shifting back to Miami, chances this series will continue beyond tonight is low. It's going to take huge games from Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Tyson Chandler in order for the Knicks to survive another day.

Without Lin, New York will once again rely on veteran Mike Bibby and Toney Douglas to run the floor.

Bibby has averaged 4.3 points, 1.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds, but shooting a paltry 31% from the field in 20.5 minutes in the playoffs. In the recent win over the Heat, Bibby scored 6 points, dished 2 assists, grabbed 5 rebounds in 23 minutes.

Douglas has yet to play in the playoffs.

In the end, all Bibby and Douglas need to do is simply set up the offense, get the ball to the Knicks' "Big 3," and hit shots the Heat defense gives. Miami is going to dare Bibby and Douglas (who shot 32% during the regular season) to knock down shots and New York will need to have these two guards to make the shots.

However, defensively, is where Bibby and Douglas will struggle versus Miami.
