Doug Christie. Bruce Bowen. Derek Fisher. We would draft Bruce Bowen, resign Doug Christie, and cut Derek Fisher. Bruce Bowen has always been known as a defensive stopper. He was a first or second NBA All Defensive team selection eight years in a row. He was deadly from the corners but unfortunately that was about it. He only averaged 6 ppg, 2.8 boards, and 1.2 assists while shooting a Ricky Davis-esque 40.9% from the field. The D is nice but we need someone that can contribute more overall. We are happy to draft him but he’s not worth resigning over Christie. Doug Christie averaged an impressive 11 ppg, 4 boards, 3.6 dimes, and 1.9 steals for his career. In 97′-98′ with the Sacramento Kings he had a career year as he pulled in 16.5 ppg, 5.2 boards, 3.6 dimes, and 2.4 steals. Not too shabby.
