Off to a disappointing start to the 2015-16 regular season, center Dwight Howard is not happy with life as a Houston Rocket — so much so that Howard apparently wants out.
The main reason, according to Sheridan Hoops? Howard's discontent with playing 'second fiddle' to James Harden.
Howard is also reportedly unhappy with the Rockets organization as a whole, and apparently the feeling is mutual. Fearing they will not be able to keep Howard in Houston after next season, the Rockets may be looking to trade the eight-time All-Star.
If the Rockets do in fact attempt to trade Howard by February's deadline, the Miami Heat is their most likely trade partner.
The Heat, who likely will not be able to keep emerging star center Hassan Whiteside past this year, would have to strongly consider making a deal for Howard.
A deal is still far away from materializing, but the whispers have begun.
Howard is averaging just 13 points per game this season, and the Rockets fired coach Kevin McHale after a dismal start. The team has rebounded since, but the team is still underachieving, and now we may know why.
