Boston Sports Then & Now:
Kendrick Perkins was traded from the Boston Celtics to the OKC Thunder during the 2010-11 season and many fans were not happy about the move. Perk was an integral part of the Green’s championship run in 2008 and he was a physical force in the middle.
He was a fan FAVORITE…..
Now you can change Perk’s scenery but that DOES NOT change the man. Kendrick Perkins is your quiet, no BS type of guy, so singing in a commercial for a Oklahoma car dealer is not necessarily in his “COMFORT ZONE”.
You gotta miss Perk!

Kendrick Perkins is a lot of things, but one thing he is not -- publicly, anyway -- is goofy.
The Oklahoma City Thunder center appeared with several of his teammates in a TV commercial for a local auto dealership, and while Serge Ibaka, Thabo Sefolosha and others were willing to play along and sing the catchy jingle, Perkins refused.
"I ain't singing that...
Athletes and local car commercials. This formula almost always produces instant gold for our viewing pleasure. Watch as various members of the Oklahoma City Thunder appear in a local spot for Norman Chrysler.
Kendrick Perkins will not sing that goofy song. Kendrick Perkins may also kill you for suggesting he sing such a song. Kendrick Perkins is actually quite frightening.

LOW BUDGET GOLD
Here is Reggie Jackson, Serge Ibaka, Nick Collison, Thabo Sefolosha and Kendrick Perkins of the Oklahoma City Thunder starring in one of those local television spots that turn out to be unintentional comedic gold. Usually it’s because these low budget ads are so terribly cheesy that they’re funny, but this one turned out to be quite good not because of the the horrific singing...
Old friend Kendrick Perkins and some of his Thunder teammates recently starred in a local car dealer commercial in Oklahoma City.
Perk shows off his acting prowess and dynamic personality with a dominating performance.

The Oklahoma City Thunder popped up in a local ad for Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge, and it’s the stuff awkward public access dreams are made of. I feel you, Kendrick Perkins. Their next ad should just be Serge Ibaka saying “if you don’t buy a car from Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge I will rip off your arms”.
