Forward DeMar DeRozan agreed to a contract extension with the Toronto Raptors, ESPN.com reported. The deal, which beat Wednesday deadline for renegotiating contracts for future free agents, was for $40 million over four years. ESPN also reported incentives could increase the contract to $46 million. Last season, DeRozan averaged 16.7 points and 3.3 rebounds for Toronto.
The Indiana Pacers were hoping to enter the 2012-13 NBA season with improved depth after shaking up their roster considerably during the summer.
