When the Boston Celtics took Gerald Green with the 18th selection of the 2005 NBA Draft, there was no doubting his athleticism. Unfortunately, while he could jump really high other parts of his basketball game, like the ability to play well, were not developed. Seven years into his NBA career, those skills still haven't come around, which explains why he's been on 5 different NBA teams (now with the Nets) and spent a year each in China and Russia playing hoops.

However, Gerald still has his hops, as evinced in this awesome alley-oop against the Rockets on Saturday. Receiving the ball in the air, Green does a pretty kick-ass windmill move before slamming the ball home with authority.

Bravo sir. Bravo!

(Oh, and in case you're wondering, the Celtics could have drafted several actually USEFUL NBA players instead of wasting their pick on Green, people like: Monta Ellis, David Lee, Nate Robinson, Ronny Turiaf and Marcin Gortat. Instead Danny took Green who was mildly useful in the trade with Minnesota for KG but besides a first-place in the 2007 Slam Dunk competition has been notable for how poorly he can play roundball.)
