Like drafting Bernard Berrian, Lee Evans, or Josh Johnson on your fantasy team, some things, no matter how hard you try not to have them happen, just always seem to happen. My kryptonite is watching the movie Step Up 2: the Streets and if it’s on TBS during the middle of the day you can be sure that I’m going to watch for an extended period of time.
What it is about the movie I have no clue. I’m not Jerry Rice or Emmitt Smith and going on Dancing With The Stars to show my moves but I’m not Mark Madsen either. Throw on some Ginuwine “Pony” or R.Kelly “Bump and Grind” and I’ll get down. I guess I just appreciate seeing someone that can cut a major rug.
While watching Step Up 2: the Streets I noticed that there was a random jersey sighting. One of the guys in the 410 crew, Tuck, was rocking a Gilbert Arenas Wizards jersey. The movie came out on Feb 14, 2008 and Gilbert Arenas was coming off a 28.4 ppg, 6 dimes, 4.6 boards season in 06′-07′. By the time the movie was released Arenas had...
BEST OF MAXIM
AROUND THE WEB
Gilbert Arenas is one of the many stars forced into exile before his career was truly over.
Both he and Tracy McGrady (and to some extent Allen Iverson) all were forced out of the league despite a willingness and, perhaps an ability, to still contribute to a team. Perception and reputation has ruled and ruined their chances at playing in the league as few NBA teams believe guys...
The Washington Wizards are setting up to become a force next year. To achieve that goal they are going to make point guard John Wall a very happy man.

The post John Wall expects a max deal from the Washington Wizards appeared first on Players View.
John Wall has been playing some inspired basketball lately Ever since the 2010 NBA Draft, the Wizards have been for the most part, blessed by the presence of a Johnathan Hildred Wall Jr. on their team. Not only for the 16 points and eight assists he brings to the court on a nightly basis, but also for the cost of said production. Even though Wall was the top pick in the draft, he...
Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol accidentally kneed Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nick Collison in the groin during Wednesday night's NBA game at the FedEx Forum.
Gasol had his knee out in front of him as he was attempting a jump shot near the basket, and Collison jumped in the air to block the shot. Collison was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
To add insult to...
Don’t act like you’re surprised the Washington Wizards would do something like this. Just a week ago, we reported that Wizards point guard John Wall, believes that he deserved to be a max player. Well, it appears that the folks at the top of the hierarchy in the organization agrees with him. In a [...]

When the Memphis Grizzlies dealt away their leading scorer, they were criticized for “giving up” on a season where they had a real chance. They responded by going 17-6 without Rudy Gay, and they have become even more of a contender in the last few weeks. Their recent success gets overshadowed by the current win streaks going on in the NBA. The Miami Heat, and to a lesser extent...
PHOENIX (AP) -- John Wall and the Washington Wizards picked it up on defense and earned a rare road win in Phoenix.
Wall scored 19 points and Washington held the Suns to 33.7 percent shooting en route to an 88-79 win Wednesday night, its first victory in the Valley since December 2006.
"That's what we pride ourselves on," Wall said. "Any night, anyone can lead...
The Wizards are ready to offer a max deal to prized point guard, John Wall
If John Wall didn’t miss the first 33 games of the season, could the Washington Wizards have been a fringe playoff team? The Wiz are 18-15 with Wall in the starting lineup. Wall also is shooting a career high 44.4% from the field. In just his third season, the 22 year-old Wall is the face of a struggling...
IN THE CLUTCH
The Memphis Grizzles and the Oklahoma City were in a tightly contested match that went into overtime Wednesday night, and would come down to the last possession with 13.6 seconds remaining on the shot clock. It would be Marc Gasol who would be Memphis’ hero who tipped in the ball off of a Zach Randolph [...]The post Marc Gasol Defeats OKC Thunder With Game-Winning Tip-In (Video...
John Wall scored 19 points and the Washington Wizards beat the Phoenix Suns 88-79 on Wednesday night for their first victory in the Valley in more than six years.
Nene had 17 points and eight rebounds, Kevin Seraphin added 16 points and Trevor Ariza scored 14 for the Wizards, who won for the fourth time in five games. Washington improved to 6-26 away from home, tying Charlotte,...
Just a couple of kids having fun playing basketball.
The Washington Wizards have rolled to a winning streak on their home floor, but they haven't been able to match that success on the road.
If history is any indication, they might have a difficult time putting an end to those woes Wednesday night.
Washington looks to stop a five-game skid in Phoenix and four-game road losing streak overall as it tries to beat the Suns for the...

Welp, that surely wasn’t as fun to watch as the first matchup between the Wizards and Suns just a few nights ago, but ANY road win for this squad is a GOOD win.
Last night displayed a far more gritty and more sloppy outing for the road-weary Wiz...
