Golden State Warriors Officially Re-Sign Player
USA TODAY Sports

Lester Quinones initially went undrafted in 2022 (after playing three seasons of college basketball for Memphis) but spent his rookie season in the G League and with the Golden State Warriors on a two-way contract.

In four games with the Warriors, he averaged 2.5 points per contest in 4.5 minutes of playing time.

However, he had an excellent season in the G League and averaged an outstanding 21.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest while shooting 45.1% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point range in 31 regular season games (he also appeared in 18 Showcase cup games).

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium recently reported that Quinones would stay with the Warriors on another two-way contract, and on Saturday, he officially re-signed with the Warriors (via the NBA Player Transactions page)

Quinones is only 22 years old and had a phenomenal rookie season in the G League.

Therefore, he could end up being a good player for the Warriors to develop.

Over the last six months, they have moved on from young talents such as Patrick Baldwin Jr., Ryan Rollins, James Wiseman and Jordan Poole.

This past year, the Warriors were the sixth seed in the Western Conference and had a 44-38 record.

They beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in seven games) but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round (in six games).

The franchise has won the NBA Championship four times over the previous nine seasons.
